Marloes Coenen and Valentijn Overeem cut from Stikeforce, Jon Olav Einemo released from UFC

Nearly a week after the world's largest fight promotion parted ways with Alistair Overeem, Martijn de Jong, head coach for the Dutch mixed martial arts gym, today tweeted that three more of his fighters have been released from the Strikeforce and UFC rosters.

Chief among them is former Strikeforce Women's 135-pound champion Marloes Coenen, who was stripped of her title by Miesha Tate at last Saturday night's (July 30) Showtime event.

Also getting the boot was Valentijn Overeem, who was pounded out by Chad Griggs at Strikeforce: "Overeem vs. Werdum" back on June 18.

And finally, Abu Dhabi grappling stud Jon Einemo, who was unsuccessful in his Octagon debut against Dave Herman at UFC 131 in Vancouver, has also been thrown by the wayside.

First no cyborg, now another great women's fighter is out on her ass, Gina doesn't fight and know one really knows why, if this all about Overeem and teaching him a lesson, the casualties are mounting up, he can find other promotions, the others may have a tougher time.

Some people are just fans of fighters and fights, others are not.

Do you know what guys get the big side and unwritten bonuses? The motherfuckers who step up and fight! Rick Story, Charlie Brenneman, Chris Leben, Tito Ortiz, Shogun, etc. These guys make bank because they fight, sometimes when injured. The UFC/Zuffa doesn't want to hear some bullshit story about a fucking toe. Tape that shit together with another toe and get ready to fight. If you have a serious injury, like say your knee, no problem. Concussion issues? Heal up, can I send you a few grand to help you get by until then? But a toe and six weeks to get ready? Evan Dunham came in on a very short notice, with a 3k/3k contract, no camp, and jet lag and Per Eklund got KTFO. He got his little 10K bonus, which was not required in the contract. If the fight is with anybody it is Golden Glory Management.

Should any beef with Reem really effect SF ability to keep one of the top woman's fighters? They are really giving the impression that they don't give a shit about woman's MMA and they are not the promotion that is going to build that brand. Which is really a shame, I don't know any hardcore fans that don't love woman's MMA.

I still think that is a cultural/religous issue with you. Not sure if that is conscious or subconscious. Maybe you just wrote it off before you ever watched it the way you did with the smaller ranked fighters. Not sure but I know it isn't the product itself.

You didn't like woman's MMA before you ever saw it. You made statements about not enjoying watching smaller men fight before you even watched them fight. You made no secrets about it either. I think you have an obvious biased against woman's MMA before you ever saw a punch thrown.
