Most of the time just encouraging a bad post. I use to think he was funny at times but I think he ran out of material and doesn't know enough about MMA to really contribute. Just a very small source of entertainment.

Do rednecks at Braves games and NY assholes at Yankee games think they can outball Jenny Finch and the softball babes? Heh, didn't even need to post after this comment. The worst part of this thread is there's no follow up where we get to see a trained female fighter tool you guys. She trains to fight at a professional level, that's her job. Even if you outweighed her you would have to successfully take her down without being tagged, then avoid submissions.. but I guess that's easy if you wrestled in college. I'm sure you guys could win a fight against Miguel Torres as well. Where's that thread?

Cyborg is an awesome fighter, but her wrestling is not that great and if you outweigh her and have college wrestling experience, then yah you would have a good chance of laying a beatdown on her. I think that I COULD beat her but who the hell knows. I wrestled in college and know some bjj, judo and muay thai, so I wouldn't be lost on my feet (though she would beat my ass if I stayed there) and I know how to avoid a lot of submissions and maintain position and wrist control. Miguel Torres? Come on now. I know you are just trying to make a point about the keyboard warriors we are here, but I'm sure there are several posters here who could or would beat Santos. The fact that it is a discussion among people who think they are tough and many who do a bit of training, or have had years of training (like wrestling in college) is impressive.

| Pinky, it's not as hard as it sounds really. If you have wrestling experience since childhood, you could certainly move her around on the ground, hell Gina took her down.
Again, I will probably get flamed for this, but I'm not concered with a 145lb female's submission skills when I've taken jits since I was 13. At 220lbs, I have good enough ground skills to not get submitted by a woman 70 some pounds lighter than me before I put her head through the mat, pro or not. Flame away with your beer gut and no experience now, Wolf.

I'm very much in Jimbo's boat, I could easily take her down and position her for some GNP, but am I going to have the cardio to deal with it for more than 3-5 minutes? I think her kicks and submission skills are a testament to her that I actually had to think long about this before giving a flippant answer. i am not being arrogant but i would ko her on feet or gnp her on ground no matter and i am not dillusional.

The fact that it is a discussion among people who think they are tough and many who do a bit of training, or have had years of training (like wrestling in college) is impressive. You're right in one aspect. It's possible that there could be an experienced fighter on here who could take her. However, it's crazy to see so many people saying it because they used to do something, or still do it but not at a high level. I assume we're discussing right now at this moment without being able to train for the thing for six months. I say she would beat any of you not in professional level training. Of course someone "could" win, it's just not very probable. To respond to Josh as well, I'm sure I could get her in an armbar if I got to start in that position. You have to get her to the ground and maintain a dominant position in order to put her head through the mat. What's your plan there? Strike a little before going for the takedown? or just go for it right off the bat? If you go to grab her and she catches you flush what happens then?

| I would say 2 or 3 out of 10 here could and would beat her. Maybe i underestimate her but i have fought (last was 04)and have sparred against people who have fought and are fighting in the ufc. My fight weight is an ideally at 170 but fought an amatuer bout at 217. I am 200 now and just went through training for a friends fight and i could go 3 5 min rds. I am sure there are a handfull of others here that have enough experience to defeat a 145 lb she man.
the college wrestler would beat her and the dude rolling jitsu since 13. I think if wolfy has 13 yrs boxing he tools her on her feet.
Am i seeing this wrong?????? shes tough but damn shes not zena

| I'd strike to start out, long enough to get that foot off the ground and bring it down to the mat. If I get hit, I get hit...only been KOed once before and it damn sure wasn't from a 145lb woman.
This is the whole reason I didn't want to post in this thread(and didn't until page 4). I understand the large majority of guys here can't beat her, but however there are some of us that still train and keep in shape enough to do it. If you can't beat her, that's fine...but I can. Like I've said many times about my background, I have years of mixed training in multiple disciplines, loads of amateur fights ranging from karate to jiu-jitsu to wrestling to amateur MMA(NHB) and still train a few days a week while keeping in good shape. And I just turned 30, it's not like I'm into my 40s with kids or anything.
I'm in no way saying it's going to be a 30 second walk through. Her cardio and movement is better than mine and training at a higher level does make a big difference. But, do I believe if I squared off with her, I could win? Yes.

| For another example guys, a few months ago I rolled with Dennis Hallman for about 10 minutes. Towards the end, he made a nice transition to back and started working a RNC that eventually got good after a minute or so.
If I can go 10 minutes without getting subbed by Dennis, does anyone seriously believe Cyborg is going to tap me???

Am i seeing this wrong?????? shes tough but damn shes not zena No, you're absolutely right. The fact is, she doesn't have the strength, and strangely enough, the technique to beat a decent man in a fight. I know 100% that if I fought her 10 times I'd beat her well over half the times. I'm waaaaaay taller than she is, with waaaaaaaay more reach than she has, and waaaaaaaay more muscle than she has. Also, being a male, I have much stronger neck and shoulder muscles which are hugely important when it comes to avoiding getting knocked out. She would probably be knocked senseless by just one power shot from most men, but most men would probably be able to take a lot of her's. Heck, Gina took her punches without too much done to her. If I was fighting her, and mind you I'm 6'3" 250, I'd immediately do a Brock Lesnar and taker her down and smother her, not allowing her to move her hips and win with that route. But I'd still be able to beat her standing up.

You're obviously too emotional about Santos to view this rationally. This is just like with Brock in the beginning, only love is clouding your mind instead of hate. It's the same scenario though - People who have less pro experience, but superior wrestling, strength and an extra 50 pounds can win more easily than you think.
