| As usual you fail to follow a simple train of thought. It's easier for you to pick a word or two out of a post to criticize, question or poke fun at than it is for you to accept the point being made. Your insistance on taking this route really shows a lack of intelligence or just proves you to be an antagonistic prick. So I'll play along and spell it out for you, and only you since I'm positive anyone else reading understood the point.
The point being made was to show that I have a specific mindset in the way that I deal with my children. I don't allow them to ingest certain things that I feel could possibly be harmful to their development, mentally or physically. I don't particularly feel that allowing adolescents watching two guys kick eachothers teeth in is in any way a positive thing for most children their age. It's my duty as a father to decide when they are mature enough to watch without it effecting their mental make-up in a negative way. Pretty messed up and difficult to understand, huh Wolf.
And again, the rest of your diatribe is neither necessary or funny.

| As I thought. MMA is still a dirty secret to you, far to violent for children to possibly understand, and being a good dad means keeping them away from it.
The only difference in what you say it is and what I say it is is the inflection in the language. You sound like a good dad dude, but you underestimate your kids if you think they couldn't understand what the sport is about or that watching MMA will somehow damage them.
Certainly no more so than the deranged father who teaches his kids fight techniques to the point he edits video clips for them to watch pieces of but won't let them actually watch the rest of the sport.
I wonder if Tiger's, Peyton's and the Williams Sister's parents all prevented them from watching actual footage of their sports until they were ready.

| Are you really this ignorant Wolf? You think watching tennis or golf is the same to a 10 year old as full contact combat?
So as a father, you're saying that one should allow them to watch the sport in order to teach the various disciplines to them, right? I take them to the club and allow them to practice wrestling, JJ, TKD and boxing... So they NEED to see the sport that I enjoy to watch in order to get a full appreciation of the brutality, even though I deem them too young? It's not enough that what I'm attempting to teach them is discipline, exercise and restraint... I HAVE to allow them to watch something that they really don't show much interest in as of yet? Did I ever tell you that I was trying to teach them to become professional MMAers? I don't quite get your point here, other than being ignorant to the obvious.
Wait, let me guess... You think that the best way to teach a kid the birds and the bees is to pop in some porn, right?
Wolf, you really need to step off this one because you are showing an incredible amount of ignorance... I think it's pretty easy for any semi-intelligent adult to understand my point and agree that as a parent it's my choice to deem what is acceptable for my children to be subjected to. When I feel they are mature enough to understand the sport and it not have any negative impact on them, they can watch if they wish...
If you choose to allow that 7 year old to watch, I'm not criticizing as YOU have made the choice to think he can rationalize it without any ill effect. That's your choice...

| Ha. You're too much. Don't like I am attacking your parenting skills when you came guns a blazing into this. Not my fault bro. Don't start nothin' won't be nothin'. All I asked was if you let your kids watch MMA. You're forcing me to be an antagonist.
I feel the UFC is anything is one of the more healthy martial arts medias out there considering how prevalent violence and fighting is in nearly all other forms of media boys would be interested in. In MMA it's at least delivered without malicous intent(kind of, you know what I mean).
I would never in one million years let my kids watch wrestling, for instance. We were someplace once where a TV was on and an episode of cops was on with some sad pathetic situation involving domestic violence, alcoholic meth using trailer dwelling folks and a lot of blood and swearing, I asked to change the channel and the owner of the TV responded with "what, you let him watch ultimate fighting". How could you even compare the two?
Kyle knows when to use his talents and when not to. Granted, we had an issue where he stopped a 10 year old with strikes in just seconds, but I don't think what we've had to deal with are any different than what many kids go through when learning how to handle being picked on.
