Oh and I don't want to hear all the Jones is Coutures equal in the clinch either. Nobody and I mean nobody is Randy's equal in that regard. He will sap time, strength, and motivation with his clinch and I don't care how old he is. In fact I am awaiting another contract extension for him at any time he is already halfway through it.
As for Jones having the best elbows? I think it is a tight competition between Kenflo, Jones, and GSP. I think they are all terrefic with that weapon. Franklin would have a better chance than Randy

| Mousasi would not have let that arm hang there. It was not just sitting there for a few seconds, it was there for what seemed like a full minute. | |

| I recommend you go watch the fight again. His arm is in danger a combined total of about 1 minute including both the first take down and the second. It doesn't matter the exact number of seconds, but what does matter is that it was more than just a small portion of the fight. Whether Joe Rogan talks about it or not doesn't mean that I haven't watched inexperienced fighters get caught in an armbar or a triangle from doing the same thing in the past. | |

| It took Bones 3 minutes to finish Vera, so ur telling me 1/3 of the fight he was in danger of getting armbarred? come on now. Vera is no slouch on the ground either. I like how he was in danger off caught, yet he finish Vera like no one lese had before. | |

| Jones would beat Mousassi for the same reasons im picking Mo Lawal over Mousassi. Too explosive of an athlete, high level wrestling, power in both hands, etc. I know everyone thinks im nuts, but Mo will beat Mousassi on April 17. | |

| Look, I'm not saying that the finish wasn't spectacular. But the result has nothing to do with the fact that Jones' put himself in a really dangerous position for a sizable portion of the fight. Jones is a force to be reckoned with, but don't pretend like his shit doesn't stink. If anything, this is an example of people looking at an impressive fight and then jumping to some pretty ridiculous conclusions. He's still green and woulda been in trouble with some of the names that people were dropping, ie Anderson Silva or Gegard Mousasi. | |

| I'm sure he'll watch the tape and that will be something he'll work on anyway. After watching Soko's takedowns on Mousasi in their fight, Bones would toss him around like a ragdoll. Then it would just be a matter of avoiding subs from the bottom and dropping some bows | |

His arm was on the mat forever. It didn't take a genius to notice it. And the fact that Joe Rogan did notice it and said something about it seems like a good thing to me. He was doing his job by noticing an obvious thing that should have been exploited by a supposed decent grappler and experienced fighter in Brandon Vera. The fact that Bones wasn't armbarred really showed me a lot about Brandon Vera's ground game. I've heard that he has a surprisingly good bottom game, but I had never really seen it. Now I've seen it and know that it's garbage. That's what I'm mad at Rogen for talking about. He said that Brandon Vera has a good bottom game. Bullshit! It's really weird to me that so many people make such a big deal about things Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg say. I am almost always unable to hear them because I usually see PPVs at a sports bar, yet I very often see things the way they do. For example, the Machida vs. Shogun fight, I could not hear a single word that they were saying, but I still saw the fight four rounds to one for Shogun. Then I stated that that's how I saw it, and I was blasted for being a stupid person influenced by Joe Rogan. As bad as Rogen and Goldbergs commentary can be sometimes, I just don't know how influential it really is.

| And why the hell would Vera try to use double wrist control in a MMA fight? Is he intentionally trying to get elbowed? Haven't people learned yet that these old grappling styles just don't work anymore? If you want to have a decent bottom game anymore, you MUST control the person with top control's body, not just his wrists. You're gonna get punched and elbowed in the face in MMA if you're just grabbing wrists. It can work well in a grappling match, it just doesn't translate well to MMA. | |

| Not sure his arm was in as much danger as people are saying. Almost seemed to me as if he was leaving it there as bait to create an opening to strike when Vera commited to an armbar. | |

Machida won that fight barely and Rogn showed his worst talents in that fight. It was so horrible I dedicated an hour going over and over on some of the crap he said during the fight. I like Rogan, but I was so mad at how biased he was in that fight. He did a horrible job in that fight. Only a person in denial would see different!

That is a good possibility and I agree all the way.

| Like I said in the other thread Cane is fight Snake, and why put Bader and Bones against eachother this early, let them work their way up seperately, both guys are gonna be good. | |

Well Bader is 26 and Jones is 22, I think they can recover from the loss. However I do agree that it is kind of early for the two to meet just yet. But I don't have that much of a problem with it. Both guys are young enough to bounce back.

Yeah bro, I'm in this camp, I think some are making way to big a deal about it. I mean the same could be said for Gerard's possible vulnerabilty to good wrestlers. Like I've said I can understand Anderson, but Mousasi is no different than Bones at this point, both talented young fighter who still haven't faced to top echelon of fighters, though I'd prob say Vera might be the best of who've they've fought collectively.

The more I think about, I'm not sure about Thiago either, just because if Thiago lost that'd be 3 in a row, and he's a top guy, I'd just be that he fought 3 really good guys in a row. Whose Forrest's next fight?

Whose Forrest's next fight? It would only be two in a row for Thiago. He knocked out Jardine in the fight before Rashad
