I didn't even see this. I just went and made the thread. Yeah I know Rashad doesn't want any after seeing him in practice.

If Bones fights like he did tonight against half the guys we're naming, he gets armbarred early, though. Greg Jackson's definitely got a lot to work with. He's definitely a dynamic fighter, but he still makes simple mistakes. I want him to fight those guys, but he definitely needs to work on some basic things. Posting your arms on top of someone is just dumb.

So young that I'd continue to give him 2nd tier guys. Jardine for instance.

Bones doesn't need Bader's leftovers

Thiago seems like a good choice. I think that fight would possibly expose what Rashad was unable to capitalize on in being able to do nothing with a take down. Or maybe I'm not giving Thiagos ground d enough respect. Silva didn't defend take downs well at all and jones has some well crafted take downs and throws but has so far been able to be effective delivering shots after his take downs. Thiago seems like a good match up in the sense that it would seem like a safer bet for jones to continue on with his winning ways, given what we have recently seen in takedown O and D respectively from both, which would be a very profitable approach for jones. Bader might be a better actual fight in that he seems to have a somewhat neutralizing style and might be more solidly equipped to avoid being tossed like vera was or Silva has been by not being either high in stature or standing posture like those guys were. Either way I look forward to the kids next fight who ever it is.

A Jardine fight isn't attractive anymore. Jardine's best recent win is a less convincing one over Vera, and he has a bunch of bad KO losses since then.

Thiago Silva is a good choice and would be the highest ranked fighter Jones would have faced. Their styles appear to give Jones the advantage.

Ryan Bader is another rocketing contender, and like GDP said, may be a better match than Thiago for Jones. Would the UFC want to match their two brightest LHW prospects at this point though? Should they?

Forrest/Little Nog winner is another attractive option, but by far the biggest leap in competition. I am not sure if there are any questions or reservations for fights of this caliber anymore.
