| come on one loss and now no one ever wants to see nick fight again? Thats a little ridiculous that fight would have been the war we were promised if Carlos didn't play it safe. Nick still is one of the most exciting fighters and i hope he keeps fighting because it's a matter of time before he gets another shot at the title. | |

He needs to go through a big time wrestler before he sniffs another title shot. Make him fight Kos next.

| Let him fight Fitch. I honestly don't care if he never fights again though. He is entertaining but I'm just sick of his shit. |

| If Nick is going to whine every single time someone doesn't play into his style then I could careless.
Both Kos and Fitch I would favor against Diaz.

| my question is, when will someone who is willing to try to actually fight, and finish nick actually beat him. The only time he's lost is when he has fought guys who are only trying to out-point him, not put themselves in any type of danger to land real hard shots against Nick. Going into last night i thought we had two guys who were gonna go toe-to-toe and give us another Hendo vs SHogun. Those guys did it how it is supposed to be done. You go out there, go toe to toe and throw everything you got, put yourself in danger to land big shots. That is what makes an exciting fight. Instead Carlos played the out-point you game, like Fitch does with his wrestling is what Condit did to Diaz last night with movement and throwing leg kicks and then running away from any back and fourth exchanges.
I'll give credit where it is due, a w is a w. Just wish this fight lived up to the potential and what it was hyped as, which i honestly have to put on Condit. Yes he executed his gameplan and won, but he is also the reason that fight was rather uneventful and frustrating to watch.

| and before you mistake my criticism for diaz nut-huggery, just look at the way Carlos fought in his last 3 fights, and how he fought last night. Like 2 different fighters. All im saying is that if the Carlos from the last 3 fights showed up this would have been a much more exciting fight and the probability of a finish, for either fighter, would have gone way up.
If Carlos fights GSP like this, it will be a very boring fight dominated by GSP's wrestling unfortunately.

| When are people going to wake up and realize MMA is a sport? Why would Condit or anyone for that matter want to stand and trade with Diaz? Diaz's main strength is trading punches and on top of that he has granite chin. Like Carlos said trading punches with Diaz would make for a great fight, but it also is a great way to lose. Isn't the goal of MMA or any sport to win? Why the hell would Condit play into Diaz's style and fight in a way that would give him the best outcome to lose the fight? MMA seriously has the biggest fucking cry babies on the planet. Imagine tonight Tom Brady tonight threw the ball for 400 yards, won the game, and then football fans come out saying that Patriots were pusssies for passing. Real men run the Ball! They wouldn't because the is fucking stupid... | |

| a lot of pro's weighing in on twitter
Hendo- Wow, I would not want to judge that one. I had it even after 4. And diaz in the 5th
Joe Lauzon- I eagerly await fight metrics for this fight... I thought Diaz won that all night long.
whole bunch of others criticizing the decision and what not. It was close but i gave it to Condit by a round myself.
i think more than anything people are disappointed with the way Carlos didn't really do what he said he was gonna do.

| I don't mind watching him fight, I just get tired of all the other bullshit he brings to the table. Condit came in with strategy and tactics and the physical tools to turn that into a victory. He hit Nick a lot more and did more physical damage. Condit wins and I have to hear Diaz whine like a little bitch...again. He should get smarter, not cry. | |

+1. I've had this argument 3 times with 3 different mates today I told them a fighter should always use a game plan to win that fight and not worry about just standing there and trading. It's MMA not a street fight. |

lol see now this is Diaz hate yes mma is a sport, the sport of FIGHTING. People want to see back and forth action packed fights. Not dudes running and winning by throwing more leg kicks. I wish there was more of an appreciation for the technical aspects of mmma too, but it is the reality of the situation. If you ask the average mma fan whether they would rather see a 25 minute technical bout with a lot of circling, running, and non-power leg strikes to out-point an opponent without taking any real risks or landing any significant power strikes or a 25 minute war with both fighters trading and still coming forward the whole time swinging at eachother to the final bell, what do you think they are gonna pick? Im not saying it's right but it is reality.

| Im with Oggy on this. Last nights fight sucked ass. We were promised a war and instead we got.Carlos literally turning and running away at points. Carlos made no effort to finish the fight. Yes he fought smart, but that doesnt mean it was thrilling to watch. This is a frustrating reality of high level MMA. Its fights like this and that awful Fox card which justify the current, random bonus structure. Evans and Condit should get nothing besides thier contracted rate. In title fights there should be a finishing bonus that doubles he win bonus. | |

| Too often MMA journalists and hardcores seek to distance themselves from the just bleed stereotype to accurately assess a fight. Condit won. Condit fought smart. Condit ran. All are true. | |

i think more than anything people are disappointed with the way Carlos didn't really do what he said he was gonna do. That just goes to show that just because you are fighter that doesn't make you a great judge. Hate to break it to you Joe, but fightmetric had Condit outlanding Diaz every round except the 2nd.. A fighter not doing what he told everyone his strategy would be pre-fight! Formulating a game plan that best wins him the belt and not playing into your opponents strength! This has to be the first time I have ever seen this happen in the fight!
