What a lil brat. hi like the way this thread is 5 pages long and nobody has given 1 reason to like this guy
Is the fact that he is a truly spectacular fighter not enough?
If not Ill throw on the chasing down of criminals.
Could u imigane if Bones lost and brought his mommy to court? The uproar would be unreal. If I only was a fan of the winners then it would be enough. I would just be another fake frontrunner fan. First place is not top priority criteria for who I like to root for. The obvious implication here is Im "another fake frontrunner". But Im not a huge fan of GSP, Im not a huge fan of Cruz. Im not a huge fan of Edgar, or Maynard. Is anybody a huge fan of Fitch? He's damn good. He ain't nowhere near my fav fighter list. So it is not about liking the best fighters, it's about liking guys who are fun to watch. If this sport was filled with boring ass fighters, I would not watch. The 2nd part of my argument is, the shit u guys have on bones is so trivial. Very little by way of substance, and most of that can be attributed to his age. Dude is still a kid. He has certainly done nothing that would warrant he be the most disliked champ in the world. It's to the point where a topic such as this one is filled with guys saying "nope".

You are as Roger Clemens would put it "misremembering" the reaction to BJ Penn and his mother. There was an uproar and the Penn hate was scathing. It was not written off or given a pass. Obviously you can use better examples of a fighter getting off easy than BJ Penn who is still hated on to this day for no other reason than BJ's and his fans bitterness regarding the second fight with GSP
It's a good example cause Penn is this board's most popular fighter. But your example of GSP works as well.

| The implication was interpersonal, all about me, if I root for someone I don't even like as a person solely based on their performance ability, I'm being fake, cause I root for who and what I like, not the opposite, whether their performance is good or bad, the performance itself is not everything about the man. Exceptional skill and performance is to be appreciated by me, but my mind isn't made just yet when a person offers other aspects of themselves as Jones has. I've never liked Jones a bit, but I didn't dislike him in the past either, I was more a fan of him before because I was indifferent to him as a person, but as time has worn on he has given plenty of reason to not like that person, it's as simple as that. There is no excuse for brat diva, not age especially. It doesn't really take anything more than simple communication to do what Jones has obviously done, reveal himself to be difficult to like. | |

| A buddy of mine just started to realize what many others have about Jones. I didn't even say anything to him, it was just the interviews leading up to the fight. The moment he started off the fight in the monkey crawl we both said "fuck this guy". Any part of me that may have been holding on to any Jones fandom coming into this fight is now gone. | |
