Yeah but Machida still ran and didn't push the pace that much at all. With it being that close I can see how Page won. From what I saw of the fight I would have gave it to Machida. I did miss a few minutes in a few rounds. Oh, and Machida didn't hit Page in the second. That was a slip and Page even blocked that kick when he spun back up to his feet.

Not to re-open it but that Forrest fight was a hell of a lot closer than it looked live. Still had Page winning but by a much slimmer margin.

It wasn't horrible but Machida should have got that decision, I love both fighters so I have no bias. It wasn't the 2nd I thought Machida won, but the 1st, Page didn't really land even if he tried applying more pressure.

Immediate rematch has to happen.

If I were scoring the fight I might have said 10-10 1st and called it a draw.

Who woulda thought Rampage would fight Machida this close. He looked explosive in his hands tonight. This Page might have beaten Rashad.

I could see that LA. Just with the way the fight I was going, I was feeling Page SD all the way after that 2nd round unless there was a stoppage or a huge 10-8 round for either guy in the 3rd

I say yes, but it's not incredibly important to me that they do. I can live with it.

Rewatched it. Machida absolutely plants a left on the chin at the end of the second that causes Jackson to fall face first. He recovered quick but that was a knockdown for sure.

When I watched the fight, I thought Page might KO Lyoto, didn't like that straight back shin up avoiding of punches. Machida was weiry of Page's power..

He took a couple pretty nice uppercuts

I was hoping for that slam off the armbar so bad lol, it was still sweet to see him lift up and then just toss Machida back to his feet

The fans started cheering when he postured up. Similar to the Forrest fight.

Just now rewatching the post-fight and Dana was adamant about no rematch

Ok with the decision, and there are so many fights out there for both dudes that I really don't want to see a rematch.

Typically fights like that should get a rematcl, even Page was like WTF, I won?

What do you though if they rematch and its a similar fight and Lyoto gets a split decision or something though? There's a decent number of fights like this and the UFC has never been big on instant rematches

What does Page fight the winner of Forrest/Franklin then and Machida the loser of Bones/Bader?

I think it depends on when the Shogun-Rashad fight is. If that headlines in March I could see either of them getting Rashad if he loses.
