| I forgot to mention that Noons fought retarded last night. He kept trying to sit down, get Diaz to over commit to set up the massive hook that destroyed Gurgel, instead of moving his head and boxing the longer, rangy fighter. | |

well typically, in a boxing match, the shorter fighter needs to get inside and then begin to work, but Noons needed to be careful of getting clinched and brought to the ground, thus he kept his distance, and tried to land big counter shots, like he did in the first fight. But Diaz used his reach very well, worked that jab, did not leave himself open to the big counters. I do think Noons should have tried to be busier and to vary his attack a little more, but Diaz poses matchup problems that are difficult to overcome. | |
