When Wlad jabs too much (many fights), and doesn't throw right hands and left hooks, I give him credit, but I can get a little frustrated. That wasn't the case tonight. He was hitting Peter with everything but the kitchen sink (and early in the fight).

I'd think it's fair to say Wlad's systematic destruction of opponents is kind of boring. Probably some of the more boring dominance I have ever seen. But I respect the shit outta it.
See I am not alone.
Yeah, but partly at fault is the talent depth in the division is abysmal. Absolutely shithouse. If there were guys that could actually push the brothers, there would be more excitement.
WINNA WINNA CHICKEN DINNA!!!!!!!
The complaints are also rich when coming from a defender of TWELVE who also won't fight these two aren't they?
I'll take Haye anyday of the week over Wladimir. I might not respect his decision to face Fraudly but at least he's exciting.
TWELVETWELVETWELVETWELVETWELVE
Fragomeni,Mormeck,Macrinelli,Barret and Ruiz fights.
Ali if you could be the least be objective you'd agree Haye is a prime example of what is wrong with the sport. Fights too infrequently, finds reasons NOT to take the biggest possible fights and in his biggest fight he throws 12 punches a round.
Are any of those three things untrue?
That's your problem Marble, I am not debating ideology, I am talking about the difference of both mens character inside the ring.
Right. Wlad gets in the ring with everyone. Haye doesn't. End of story. How can you defend the inactive?

Funny you didn't mention Haye's running versus Valuev.

LOL, for some reason that fight doesn't count as a "character" measure with Ali.

Or his rabbit punches. The HareMayer will never be criticized in the UK.

Why should Wlad not fight at a sensible pace for him if it is working? Remember when he went balls to the wall trying to ko Brewster in the first fight? Gassed and kayoed.
Today's Wlad fights his fight and makes it five times easier, and wins instead of losing. Yeah, poo-poo on Wlad, right?
People who make the "he oughtta do something different" argument make ZERO sense.
What, Mariano Rivera oughtta throw something other than the cutter because it is boringly effective?
Runners with great kicks oughtt become front runners because nobody can beat them?
It is the guy who is LOSING's job to adjust. Not the guy winning!
Why didn't Pernell Whitaker bang with Chavez on the inside? What a coward.

I've never defended Haye's decision to face Audley or reluctance to face the Brothers, it still doesn't change fact Haye's a far more thrilling fighter. Yes the Valuev fight was a stinker but that's one bad fight out of twenty other exciting ones.
And whether you hate or like David there is still time for him to step inside the ring with either man.

Yes because that was one rare change in style from David where he had to nurse a broken hand, Wladimir has shown a consistency to fight tediously.

I'm thinking Ali would rather Wlad fight more like this guy.

Cant expect someone to change their style this late in their career. It is what it is. Dont expect Haye to get any praise whatsoever until he steps into the ring with a Klit.

Everyone get in a workout, play with the kids, do something nice for the wife, and get ready for some fights later.
HBO's card tonight has 2 good fights.

Not with the 3 year old still awake.
Damn kids- fun to hang around and do stuff with, but they are always there. Every once in a while my wife(or myself) gets a little frustrated and gives the son the look that says, "dont you have anywhere else to go for a little while. I've had enough of playing with trains, doing puzzles, reading books, watching the same movies for the 50th time, etc......"
Ut oh, gotta run, the little one just told the wife that those are his legos, don't mess with my legos!!!
