| What is Wlad to do?
The opponent runs the entire fight and is in full on survival mode by round 3.
Peter stood in there tonight and he took shots until his body couldn't take any more shots. If guys like Chambers and Chagaev had the guts of Sam Peter they would have been laid out around round 3. But they ran and got stopped late.

See I am not alone. Yeah, but partly at fault is the talent depth in the division is abysmal. Absolutely shithouse. If there were guys that could actually push the brothers, there would be more excitement. WINNA WINNA CHICKEN DINNA!!!!!!!
The complaints are also rich when coming from a defender of TWELVE who also won't fight these two aren't they? I'll take Haye anyday of the week over Wladimir. I might not respect his decision to face Fraudly but at least he's exciting. |

Make mince meat of his opponents Ray Austin style instead of hiding behind his jab and reach. |

If there were guys that could actually push the brothers, there would be more excitement. Fair enough, but it doesn't help when the brothers choose to tediously break down their opponents instead of piling on the pressure. They are what they are. If they lost fights because of fighting too passive, then we could shit on them. Until then, just choose not to watch them fight if you don't want to see it. There have been a couple Brothers fights that I have just skipped because I wasn't in the mood for their style. Still doesn't mean I disrespect their dominance.

| Why should Wlad not fight at a sensible pace for him if it is working? Remember when he went balls to the wall trying to ko Brewster in the first fight? Gassed and kayoed.
Today's Wlad fights his fight and makes it five times easier, and wins instead of losing. Yeah, poo-poo on Wlad, right?

| Marble, you speak the truth. Ali's frustration is with the level of competition. Nobody can do anything about that, however it does lead to dreadful fights. The Klits can't be blamed for inferior opposition, however we're fans and we want to see exciting fights. It's that simple. I for one am very frustrated watching the Klits. True, they are blameless. It doesn't change the fact that this division sucks. | |

People who make the "he oughtta do something different" argument make ZERO sense. What, Mariano Rivera oughtta throw something other than the cutter because it is boringly effective? Runners with great kicks oughtt become front runners because nobody can beat them? It is the guy who is LOSING's job to adjust. Not the guy winning!

I can't argue much with that. I find Wlad's surgical dominance extremely impressive though. But I'll take Pep and Whittaker and Calderon over watching an Arturo Gatti type every time.
