7 rounds to 4 was pretty fair in my book. Frustrating to see how easily more lefts or more punches in general wouldve given Dawson a pretty easy decision.

I was never a big fan, but I had a ton of respect and enjoyed watching him fight. That's gone. Not because of the excuses, but because of the fight.

Having a bad night and not trying are completely different. And it is a tough crowd.

I don't think it was a case of not trying. It was a case of being so badly thrown off early in the fight and not having an answer. If he wasn't trying he wouldn't have pushed the fight late. He would have simply survived out the decision loss.

Jean Pascal did everything we could ask. He fought smart, he showed heart and he fought with intensity. Good for him.

Its not hard to hit a guy with no defense. If Dawson would have thrown more combos, he would have won.

I hear ya. I do. I THINK what it may be is it was OBVIOUS to us and to Eddie Mustafa Muhammad what Chad needed to do and they weren't high end things. Throw a pile of jabs, step to the side instead of back when Pascal charged and turn up the intensity.

It doesn't take a Ricardo Lopez level technician to execute such elementary things.

But Chad never made pascal change a single thing he was doing.

I really don't think Chad was about to stop Pascal, he took that left uppercut well and went toe to toe with Froch for twelve rounds. Chad blew it with his passive attitude.

Agreed, Floyd tried his best to stop Mosley, he threw everything he could at him.

I would have liked to see the fight end without the headbutt, I believe Pascal would have made it to the final bell and possibly even come back from the shellacking he took in the 11th, to win the 12th round.

The headbutt ending, though unintentional, sort of tainted the victory for Pascal, who would have won this fight legit, and not given Dawson an excuse at the end.

I just finished watching this crap fest.

Some thoughts I had. Does Pascal even have any conditioning? Does Dawson want to knock people out?

Cloud might be the best hope for this division.

I know I'm old school, but I don't think the win was tainted at all.

It SHOULD have been a TKO for Pascal.
