My Crazy UFC Weight Divisions Idea!

The UFC should absorb WEC and run 8 divisions with 2 title fights at each PPV with each title being defended 3 times a year.

Heavyweight= 231-265
Cruiserweight= 216-230
Light-Heavyweight= 201-215
Super-Middleweight= 186-200
Middleweight= 171-185
Welterweight= 156-170
Lightweight= 141-155
Bantamweight= 126-140

We'd probably end up with these Champions-

Heavyweight= Brock Lesnar
Cruiserweight= Frank Mir
Light-Heavyweight= Mauricio Rua
Super-Middleweight= Anderson Silva
Middleweight= Vitor Belfort
Welterweight= GSP
Lightweight= Frankie Edgar
Bantamweight= Jose Aldo

good imagination and thoughts but honestly there would be waht 5 good fighters in cruiser (which i am not a big fan of at all) IDK

just not a big fan of the idea, but still a good idea on your part IM just not a fan of it

Quinton Jackson
Forrest Griffin
Jon Jones
Randy Couture
Brandon Vera
Big Nog
Cheick Kongo
Ryan Bader

ya but why do that when i can watch them at 205

see I am a HUGE boxing fan

just dont want to see MMA make the same mistakes boxing made having 17 divisions with 4 guys with claims to the title in each division

like for example everyone complains about how MMA has badd judging, its not realy the judges fault, they are for the most part boxing guys or girls

TOny Weekes, Cecil Peoples, Adalaide Byrd, all boxing peple first

boxing basically had 100 years of no-decisions or newspaper decision where no decision was rendered unless there was a knockout, newspaper decisions where when newspaper writers all agreed on who won the fight problem is what if you pay a couple talented trusted writers, people that dont see the fight take their word

my point which is totally off topic is that boxing had 100 years for people to get used to it and understand it and how to judge it

and theres still robberies

MMA has been around 20 years as we know it, just needs time and cant expand or get to big to fast IMO

I agree with bird that I dont want to see too many divisions.. but I would still like to see just 1 weight class added, including the absorption of the WEC.

Yeah I like that ^, I would have 125, there is some talent there we're unfamiliar with, including myself.

BJ would be the Lightwieght champ LOL.

Not really a fan of bringing Cruiserweight to the UFC, but I do think they should absorb the WEC and use their lower weight classes.

The athletic commissions are the one's that set the weight classes not the UFC, WEC, Strikeforce, etc.
