90s was the worse decade of music.. take the huge leap hip hop took and it was a huge pile of shit.. than followed by the 80s..
In the end of the 90s but more so in the 00's we no longer had to be corporately fed garbage anymore..

I don't agree at all, the 90's produced alot of great bands and outstanding albums. The 00's have been complete garbage.

animal collective, arcade fire, arctic monkeys , ariel pink, avi buffalo, band of horses, bon iver, deerhunter, lcd soundsystem, interpol, xx, yeasayer, wilco, sufjan stevens, andrew bird, the strokes, local natives, sigur ros, spoon, shins, phoenix. Modest Mouse, The National.

That was just off the top of my head. Some of the bands might not be your style but they are all very good imo.

the 90s was the decade of "the single" ..

If you are going by the Radio, than yes this decade is awful.. but this decade will be known for how much the internet influenced music. Now people can hear exactly what they want to here, whenever they want, from all across the world. Not just being fed

I personally thought the 00's were an extremely poor decade for music.
