| GSP vs Matt Hughes I. A gifted rookie pushed too quickly (maybe) into a title shot. Hopefully it doesn't have the same ending and Jones can pull it off. I could easily see Rua winning though and Jones winning the rematch in about 12-18 months. | |

| Freak, how come you don't just go back to the freakzilla screen name?
i don't see it. GSP had been pro for only 2 years. His best wins were a decision over Karo and a TKO over a rookie Jay Hieron. Looking back. It was only his 3rd fight on the big stage.
Jon Jones has a lot more fights at this point in his career, most in the UFC and he has been far more dominant than GSP was at this point against better competition relative to his division.
The fight might be coming too soon as in it's only a month from the fight he just had, in march but Jon Jones is rightfully the #1 contender and is probably the toughest matchup for Shogun in the division. | |

| I still see Freaks point. Jones is being rushed alittle in my mind also. Does that mean he cant win? Hell no it doesnt. I just think in a year or year and a half he would be more prepared. | |
