| Which if any of these fighters would be able to at least earn a title shot in the UFC? | |

| Not with his stand up. Lawlor doesn't check leg kicks. Mayhem is the most complete fighter of all those listed, he is the one with the best shot at a title. | |

| Hah, We've recently seen Thales Leittes and Patrick Cote get a title shot at 185, soon Chale Sonnen, who not so long ago was chilling in the WEC will be getting a shot, but this list of guys wouldn't stand a chance?
Dude's need to actually see Tim Kennedy fight b4 they cross him off their list.

| Kennedy is tough. I'd like to see a rubber match with Jason Miller.
Sonnen was hardly chilling in the WEC, he was fighting the #2 MW in the world at the time in Paulo Filho.
As for Cote fighting Silva, there was some history there. He had strung together some nice wins so he was nice opponent to slingshot Ricardo Almeida into a title shot. Almeida was a stud that tapped Marquardt, but disappeared from MMA for a while. When he came back I think the UFC thought he could be the next great challenge for Silva, but Cote ruined those plans and earned the shot. The UFC would definitely change that if they could.
Leites is still really high level and I would pick him against any of those guys.

| The UFC MW division below the top few guys is really weak. The gap between Vitor, Nate, and Chael and Chris Leben is closer than people realize.
Thales Leites would get fucking murdered by some of these guys, especially Jacare.
All of them could earn title shots in the UFC except Jacare.
Figure that one out.
Capt gets a plus for calling people out on not even knowing who the fuck Kennedy is. Kennedy now that he has devoted his full time to training would have likely beat Jake Sheilds ass at 185. No one will want to hear it, but it's true. He is a solid up and comer and more promising than anyone the UFC is grooming right now at this weight.
Patrick Cote and Robbie Lawler are essentially Mortal Kombat Street Fighter same sprite clones. Ken vs Ryu, Scorpion vs Reptile. Robbie could KO a couple fools and immediately be given a title shot, especially since he has fought on most of the CBS and Showtime major cards.
Mayhem has a lot of personality, is well known and popular and would brutally rape a lot of UFC middleweights in the Alan Belcher pseudocontender class. Easily could see him getting a shot with the right match ups - IE no wrestlers. Mayhem is one of the more under appreciated mixed martial artists of our time.

| Probably not Lawler, and i guess we still need to see more of Kennedy though he has really impressed me in every fight i've seen him in.
Souza and Miller would be. I see a lot of parity beneath Anderson Silva, i can see those guys winning a fight with any of those guys in UFC's division, i could see them losing as well but they would be right there ...and there is nothing wrong with Jacare's standup, for the person who implied it was poor. His standup has looked solid in both the Lindland and Villasenor fights. Like in my opinion, Jacare would clown Demian Maia in the cage....superior standup, superior jitsu(proven in competition), better athlete and that was Silva's last fight.

| Yeah, if it wasnt for a clutch haymaker,Lawler would be 0-3 in Strikeforce. He is not even really close in SF, let alone UFC. | |

| He's not close in Strikeforce? He is a coinflip decision away from an already signed title fight contract.
Anyway Jacare would have to Shogun suckers to have a prayer. Why?
Damian Maia and Thales Leites ring a bell?

Damian Maia and Thales Leites ring a bell? And that loss was outside his weight class vs a guy from a higher weight. Who says Lawler doesn't stuff Sonnen's takedown's and then woop him in the standup? Very possible. Still not sure what you're getting at as far as Jacare, Wolf.

I believe Maia actually beat Jacare in competition -- I could be wrong, but I'm positive I saw footage of it. I think Jacare is a stud, but I don't think his stand-up is good enough to allow a finish against Maia or Leites [I think Leites would outstrike him] and I don't think he could sub either one on the ground. It's close between these three, but I would rank Jacare third out of these three.

Really? Jacare is out of the same sort of mold that Thales and Damian are, and both of those title fights were embarrassments for the UFC. Jacare would have to Shogun fools with highlight KO's because being a slick Brazilian BJJ wizard aint getting you a title shot from Dana White against Anderson Silva anytime soon.

Still not sure what you're getting at as far as Jacare, Wolf. Lawler historically doesn't have good takedown D, he'd be on his back for 13 of 15 minutes against Sonnen, Lawler is soo fucking overrated, he'd be losing decisions to Bisping.
