| Anyone think Souza wants to stand with Lawler?
Anyone think Lawler can keep it standing if Jacare shoots early and often?

| I think Robbie will do very well at keeping the fight standing. Jacare might get him down but I think Robbie will really make him work for it. Jacare should be fine standing for awhile, but I doubt he wants to keep it there. | |

| I dont really see Jacare wanting the fight standing for long at all. Lawler has sick power and keeping the fight standing is his best chance to win so if i was Jacare I would definitely go for the early takedown. | |

| Jacare's striking has really improved, he could def compete with Robbie on the feet, Babalu outstruck Robbie semi-recently. I expect him to setup the takedown through his striking, he's done that pretty well in recent fights. How long he can keep Robbie down will decide much of this fight. | |

| http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/1/27/1959123/strikeforce-robbie-lawler-says-hell-force-jacare-to-stand"(Ronaldo Souza) will have no choice but to stand. That’s what I plan on doing. I’m forcing him to stand and seeing how good his standup is." "(Robbie Lawler has been training with Ryan Bader, Aaron Simpson and C.B. Dollaway) They’re just big guys, athletic, good wrestlers and guys who are hungry and who are all bigger than me. Just drilling with guys who were All-American wrestlers, guys who implement that into their game plan, just working out with those guys has made me get better by leaps and bounds." "I believe if anyone stands, it’s just a matter of time before I catch them. Two guys, one guy not wanting to give up the belt and one guy going in there to take the belt. It’s going to be a battle." | |

| Robbie rarely fights smart, while Jacare does. I see him playing it safe on the feet, then getting the fight to the ground where he can control Robbie, like Mayhem did. | |

| Babalu did
Jacare isn't as good a wrestler as Bader per say, but he transitions from striking to the shot really well, at least in some of his recent fights.

Also Robbie forced him to stand. He couldn't get or hold Robbie down to save his life that night. To be fair I think the weight cut effected his strength. Sure did put an end to Babalu willing to go to MW.

| I think Jacare will get Robbie down and control him but it wouldn't be easy. I am worried Jacare will try to stand for to long before mixing in the takedowns. Lets not forget one shot from Robbie in the right spot ends this fight I just think it's more likely that Jacare gets the td and controls the fight. | |
