I think Tarec wins this with an easy 30-27. He has a really good chin and is superior technical striker.

Still happy for Robbie that he got that big Koscheck win...i didnt even think the UFC would bring him over from Strikeforce originally because the last couple years hadnt been great.

That's a good question. Mike Pierce seems to be really the only top level guy available, but that's sure is a downgrade from Jon Fitch.

I think Tarec is a product of the right place at the right time. He's decent but made his claim to game by beating an underprepared, above average WW/MW.

But he did jump out his back window when Ceasar went looking for him, in which case I doubt he brought his phone. Maia is a bad matchup for him, though.

IMO Nick is a bad matchup for Maia. It's possible Maia gets him down and wins via control but I think Nick boxes his face off and likely finishes Maia. I would be pretty confident in Nick in that matchup.

It's more likely that Maia grapplefucks Nick. The way Maia absolutely raped Fitch for three rounds gives Me no doubt he'd do the same to Nick. Nick is not a world class grappler in grappling, he's a world class grappler in MMA and there's a difference here. Nick is the better boxer for sure, but when it comes to grappling I don't believe for a second that Nick can hang with Maia.
