| Carlos Condit and Jake Sheilds were being debated as the best 170'rs outside of the UFC. Shields is a contender, Condit is a borderline top ten, if he is at all. | |

Why wouldnt he be considered "one of" the best outside of the UFC? Look at our rankings right now, there is only 2 (3 if you count Daley) not in the UFC that is ranked or even honorable mention.. Saying he was the best would be wrong, saying that he was one of the best, I dont see how that is far off.

Personally, I still think he can be a contendor in the WW division. He's had a couple tough fights, should've won against Kampmann and I think everyone was surprised at how game Ellenberger was. He has some work to do but he can work his way back to the top. He's going to have to take less damage in order to win decisions consistently, though. But he's a finisher, so hopefully there won't be many more decisions in his immediate future.

| Condit/Ellenberger was not a bad decision. Sure, if it was in Japan, Ellenberger's beatdown in the first round would have won him the fight but in the this system, Condit won the last 2 round pretty easily IMO | |
