Well said, especially on the corruption perspective. There needs to be some kind of judging reform and standardization, it is decent most of the time, but when it's not it's detrimental to an array of things. There should be some kind of technical advisory committee comprised of judges, coaches, fighters, refs, commissioners, and any other relevant parties that can assist in directing judging to more consistently competent levels.

Yeah, its pretty obvious Rogan keeps up with the hardcore fans, and reads up on the big MMA forums.

That rant was the highlight of an otherwise boring broadcast. I agree one hundred percent. These judges need to get the "octogon contol" shit out of their heads because it makes no sense. Effective scoring people. Nam landed all the big shots. Who cares if Garcia is coming forward. He gets his ass kicked because he's sloppy and horrible. IMO, Leonard Garcia has not truly won a fight since he knocked out Jens Pulver. It's eitheir he loses or he wins a decision he should have lost.

that decision tells us that there is something very wrong with judging in mma, and yet Keith Kizer refuses to acknowledge that there is any problem. Good for Rogan for telling it how it is and putting Kizer and the NSAC on blast.

What ever happened to Tom Huggins?

One of the guy's he and the UFC are criticizing is Tony Weeks for his scoring of the fight. The UFC is flying Weeks up to judge the next UFC card in Canada. All these judges Dana and Joe complain about are the same ones they bring over seas with them to judge the fights.

Is the UFC bringing them in or are they contracted by a governing board to be the judges?

Ratner appoints the judges when the promotion hit places like Germany, Australia, Abu Dhabi and the U.K.

Well they need to get chuck norris in there to be the voice of reason among those dumb judges if that's the case

California’s going to be evaluating judges based on how they fare when you score rounds as compared to the other judges.

So the Japanese judge who probably had it right would actually, if this was California’s evaluation system, he would look really bad because he missed on two of the three rounds based on the consensus and so it would look like he was the bad judge as opposed to the other two judges.

Garcia thought it over and doesn't like Rogan's comments in the cage.

I don't blame him but he has to understand the context of the issue. Maybe he watched the fight and liked what he saw, but from what I saw Saturday, he fought the fight and didn't like the way he fought and expected to lose.

I think the idea of two egregious judging displays mixed with one seen as generally just, is more rare, but that further magnifies the outrage when it happens. The common sense just has to be sound in approaching any kind of reform.
