| "There is more competition at 168. There are more guys who are my age. There are more guys who are physically strong and match up evenly with me as opposed to the guys in the light heavyweight division, but we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens with that tournament and hopefully the winner of that tournament is willing to take a fight with me," http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=28040 |

| Chad Dawson seems to be under the false impression that anyone cares about him. He brings no fans and no money. His last performance against Johnson left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Take away HBO grossly overpaying for his last fight, and he brings no money. Bute is a bigger draw.
Dawson needs to start fighting every 3 months and clean out his division. He also needs to stop bending his knees and crouching down as a form of hotdoging when his fights aren't even entertaining.

| dawson is a good fighter but he really isnt much of a draw...id be surprised if the winner fought him...then he will surely say they are ducking him if they do not but thats just how it goes...id tune in to watch him fight the winner for sure though...hed make a good fight against any of them IMO | |

I completely agree Canvas, Chad needs to unify all the titles and clean the division out. Forget about network approval and build a legacy. He's been unlucky with Pascal's injured shoulder and Hopkins refusal to face him. |

| Its sad to see a guy so talented with nobody wanting to fight him
then we see guys that avoid tough fights like the plague

I am shocked he thinks he can perform at 168.

I am shocked he thinks he can perform at 168. What shocks you about this? I think he gives anyone at 168 a tough fight.

| I am a bit skeptical about Chad being able to make 168lb. Actually upon reviewing his past fights he's actually dropped as low as 158lb's, he fought at Super Middleweight back in 2006 so maybe he could make the cut. |

Yeah but that was five years ago when he was what, 22? He's a fully mature 28 now. I just don't see him carrying that much extra weight.

| I'm wondering if it will be tough for him to make 168 a year from now, after the tournament ends. His best bet is Bute in Montreal, it'll be a huge deal (especially if he beats Pascal) and he can probably get Bute to move up to 175 (where Bute once held the prestigious NABO title). | |

In that case Dawson't title would be at stake. Both guys under the max weight? Title at stake.

He's a fully mature 28 now. I just don't see him carrying that much extra weight. Maybe but remember Bute use to be a Light Heavyweight too, Armstrong did after all fight in three separate weight classes as a matured man. |

He sucked down to 126 to take that title, gave it up without defending it, won the welter title weighing like 133 and won the lightweight title weighing around 132-133. Armstrong didn't adjust his weight depending on who he was fighting. He just gave up the weight and took on bigger guys. In his 18 welter title defenses I don't think he weighed over 140 more than 4-5 times.

In that case Dawson't title would be at stake. Both guys under the max weight? Title at stake. thats my point both men would remain champs of their division and we could still see a great fight between the 2 best in the 2 divisions I worded that poorly, meant the 168 and chad would have their titles in tact in a non title catchweight match

I worded that poorly, meant the 168 and chad would have their titles in tact in a non title catchweight match I don't think Chad cares too much about the titles anyway. But I like your idea. Who knows maybe Bute would move up if he can't get any of the guys from the six, either due to injury or retirement. My personal feeling is Pavlik will try and take on Dawson. Pavlik walked into his last fight as a Cruiser and we know Kelly can't beat any of the guys in the six or Bute and Chad has a questionable chin. The driveway sealer that Pavlik calls a trainer may try and exploit said chin. My feeling is that chad will cut up Pavlik worse than Martinez.

I figured since you like my suits so much I'd show what was underneath. Was going for a little Vegas debauchery but you've pointed it out that it is really gay, so it's definitely staying.
