- Farmer, I would call that lying. It is kind of a "half truth" since Randy could be considered "in the mix" now that he has won. But really the UFC implied that the winner could possibly get a title fight when they really knew if Coleman wins all he gets is another fight and if Randy wins he just gets a better fight. Loser of the fight was going to be strongly encouraged to never fight again. So yes I consider it a lie in order to pump sales.
Sooner there is nothing different from every week on ABC television saying this could be a finals preview in basketball. When any1 with a winning record is considered a contender. All sports do things like this to hype there sport. If Randy where to win another 2 fights in a row than he would probably be in line for a shot so its not really lying. In the mix means no more than saying he is a good fighter and with a couple breaks could recieve a title shot. Nah, when other sports do it, it is well known that the respective teams have to win their way to the title match. Those announcers always say "could" in it's most real form, and the viewers are aware of that. The UFC picks and chooses who fights for a title, guys don't really need to earn it. So when the UFC says "whoever wins is in line for a title shot" we the viewers should be able to take that statement as truth.

| I voted Canseco/Walker also. Wolf I can honestly say Randy could beat most of the top ten on any given night. I have learned not to doubt him. The guy has proved me wrong too many times. | |

blah blah blah. Age really does exist, even for Couture. Randy might be the first death in MMA. He is waaaaaay to slow for anyone in the upper echelon of the LHW division. Yo, you got guys like Rashad Evans turning fights down with him for a reason. No one wants to see Randy concussed into Ali-Land. Please retire Randy.

Rashad is one of the guys I think Randy would beat. Age does exist, but not for a few more years in his case. Randy has looked great the last 18 months. He still has freakish strength and plans out a fight better than any other fighter in the game.

| Randy doesn't create these master game plans. That is a myth.
He boxes you until he gets inside, clinches you against the cage, wears you out, gets you down, repeats for as many rounds it takes. A basic variation of this same format is all he ever uses.
The only problem is he can't box inside on anyone anymore besides Coleman. Shawn Thompkins told Coleman to stand with Randy for a reason. Randy is slow and KO prone, but is too inlove with his hands and boxing skills, even though his head movement is a lot slower than it was when he fought Sylvia and Gonzaga.
If Coleman rocked Randy significantly, a guy like Evans would blast him into oblivion.

If Coleman rocked Randy significantly, a guy like Evans would blast him into oblivion. I doubt it. He plans a great fight from a defensive perspective. He would take Shad down and end it or out box him from the inside. You won't admit it, but Randy is still a legit contender for the LHW title.
