Multi million dollar revenue companies advertising THEIR products on YOUR tv, in YOUR home and YOU pay THEM $50 for the privilege.

The consumer has the power, don't pay the money and the sponsors will cough up the cash for you to watch these sponsorship saturated events just like they used to when boxing was in it's prime.

Ur looking at it as a fan, not from the other perspective in terms of business, if u owned or ran the company, ud make similar comments, or at least have a similar stance. He's just trying to scare people off it, it's almost impossible for him to pul off completely eraticating ppv piracy, he has points though.

anyone who makes more than $15,000 a year should buy the PPV and support the business, the rest of us will find other means to watch it.

I do it to support the UFC and MMA personally, and I think almost all of us make 15k a year

If the ppv is worthy of my money like UFC 107 then I pay for it but if it's like the card for UFC 105 then no way.

If you work full time you would have too. I havent bought music and hardly any PPV since I got the internet. I think the last PPV I bought was Tyson vs Lewis and a couple of porns.

I buy most of UFC PPV's...being able to sit on your couch and watch it on the big screen with some friends is much better than sitting at my laptop searching for a new stream every 10 minutes.

..but, sometimes(like this last one) they just are not worth the money.

I used to pirate a lot, would stay up till four to get the torrents off the tracker, would stream hop, and I would go and emmerse myself in hooters shitty food, retarded general mma fans, and those fugly girls wearing shorts that do anything but flatter their less than ideal figure, but somewhere along the line I said fuck it and started buying everything.

considering ive ordered every ppv save one since the year started I believe, I have the right now to pirate a few here or there, how much money have I given the UFC alone at this point?

I'll go to sportsbars. And if I don't feel like going to sportsbars, I'll continue to stream. My conscience is clear. Why should I pay 40 bucks a month to keep up on my hobby? I don't pay to watch football. Maybe Dana should be repremanded for putting on dogshit cards. I know 108 had a lot of injuries but there still no way I'm paying for that shit. Looking back on the last year or so, the only card that was halfway worth buying was 100, and it was hyped as the best card ever. Affliction 2 was pretty good too but I streamed it, guess they can blame me for them going under. lol

I will pay for most but some just aint worth it. With 2 kids and a house payment the cards have to be good for me to order them. He needs more freebies to be honest and not that Maynard vs Diaz isnt a good fight but its nothing like when Rampage vs hendo was free. He needs to up the cards and if they are full of injuries then put it on spike for a christmas present for the fans. if anything maybe they should lower the prices of the events. 45 bucks is alittle steep. Make them 25 or 30 and more people would buy.

I usually buy them and if I don't then one of my friends will. I've watched a stream a couple times but they just are shitty usually so I'd rather buy it.

One thing I have done 3 or 4 times is order it on yahoo. The cool thing about that is you can just click on a matchup and watch it alone and you have access to them for 24 hours so you can go back and watch as many times as you want within that timeframe. Obviously it's better to order the PPV because you can DVR it but yahoo is ok if you're not watching live too.

honestly none of my firends are even that in to mma, sometimes i watch it with a couple of the guys i train with but i do watch streams for the past couple ufc's, i bought ufc 100, 101 and 104 i believe so thats basically 150 bucks right there, i'd rather spend that money to go see ufc 111 live so i'll either be watching on streams or just going out to chill then coming back and just watching the fights on mmalinker or something.

In recent history I bought (with friends) 100, 101, and 106. Watched the rest on Sopcast

Fuck Dana... Give me a card worth paying for and I'll pay for it! But when you keep feeding us cards with no title fights and mid level talents filling out all but the #1 or top-2 fights... I'm streaming it right into that big ole flat screen... Quality be damned!!!

I don't see why anyone can be pissed at Dana on this? You're stealing from the UFC. That money could be going to fighters, the UFC staff, or just an extra large bonus for Dana. If you get busted then you deserve to get fined or at minimal forced to pay for the PPV. If you don't think the card is good enough to order or you are too poor then either A) find another sport to watch or B) risk getting in trouble for it.

I blame Dana because he could make a PPV a free card when the card goes to shit... I would have been more than happy to pay to see Brock or Anderson defend their title... But. And easy on the taking food off the table sob story crap, Farmer. The UFC is smaking money hand over fist regardless of 50,000 people watching for free. The fighters and their agents need to be the ones fighting harder at the negotiation table, it's not the fan's faults (Even though I'm sure Dana adds this spin on some level when negotiating)...

And yes... I do accept the risk because I know there is no way Dana can track it back to me... And with a clear conscience I opted for the lobster prior to the fights...

I didn't say a damn thing about taking food off people's table, but it is 100% true that in the long run your/our combined stealing may effect fighter's pay, staff members pay, or every the owner's profits. I'm not trying to make you feel bad, but it is true.

It is total and complete BS to rationalize stealing PPVs because the UFC is already making tons of money. You'd be acting totally different if you were running the UFC.

And I'm not trying to pull the holier than thou attitude. I've streamed before. But it is just moronic to act place blame on Dana for you stealing. Take some responsibility for yourself.

C'mon Famer, when there's an option people take the option that best suits their needs at the moment. Dana should be worried about where the feeds are coming from, not where they're ending up. IF I were running the UFC, that's where I'd be directing my efforts Farmer... Wouldn't you? It's a bit like looking for junkies rather than the drug czars don't ya think?

BTW- I'm completely accountable for my actions thanks, and the only thing I blame Dana for is "expecting" people to pay when there is other options and he's giving shit product. If he kills the live feeds I will wait until the next day and catch them on the net. If he kills that then I will just read about the crappy cards and watch them on DVD a year or five later. But I will still support if they have something worth supporting... Now that's being a die hard fan don't you think?
