| LA, you ignore all the facts of the fight and any points that erode your silly case and just scream "face it he wasn't trying to win a fight". What the fuck man, you are better than this.
Was he not moving forward throwing head shots over and over again? Was he not trying to improve position on the ground? A large part of why Thiago kept hopping back up was Rashad giving him the chance by trying to get into GnP position.
What would satisfy you? Rashad standing and throwing Wanderlei bombs in the pocket or playing the BJJ game long enough to be swept, which appears to most as a very likely posibility?
LA, your argument has devolved into "if you don't put yourself in the upmost amount of danger you're not trying to win".
I like you, but man, sometimes it is like talking to a brick wall.

| He landed a couple solid shots there to be honest, but even though this isn't how fights are scored, who was closer to finsihing the fight? Thiago, Rashad wasn't doing much if u ask me, u can say his gameplan was to look for the takedown, get it, and GnP, but it didn't work and he therefore did almost nothing in the fight but tackle his opponent, minus one nice slam. In a rematch, Thiago will be able to look for the takedown himself more, and avoid it, with a healthy back IMO, but yes Jackson>ATT. | |

| Japan routinely robs fighters based on who is "closer to finishing the fight". Sure, it was cut and dry here, but if we started scoring fights based on that, subjective brawls where fighters are escaping sub attempts and rocking eachother would lead to constant shitty decisions.
10 point must isn't perfect, but at least it is for the most part cut and dry. I certainly prefer that over subjective calls over who was more rocked, who was in more danger of being sub'd, what is worse, nearly being triangled or nearly being KO'd. Jesus, imagine the madness.
Have you ever seen a card Guy Mezger calls where he doesn't bash Japanese scoring after a terrible decision? Don't think we ever will.

| I don't really remember where this left off, but in sumation it wasn't an overly impressive performance by Shad, and if u argued that Nog's injury played and part in his fight with Mir, than even if less so, u can't deny Thiago injury may have affected him in this fight.
And Thiago doesn't really move in my top 10 rankings after this fight, while I have Shad moving from 4th to 5th or 6th behing Lil Nog and/or Mousasi

| I said in an earlier post I don't hold this injury in the same light as Frank's in his last fight, or Nog's or Mir's. They were both obviously very bothered and didn't look like themselves, where Thiago looked as good as he ever did, minus the lack of take down attempts. I don't want to delve into that here because in the thread on that issue I gave my responses to that. I agree it probably effected him some, but considering his cardio looked better than ever, can't say how much.
Kind of silly to move the winner of a fight down in the top ten when he defeated another top ten fighter though, don't you think?

| Well it certianly isn't common place, but I wasn't overly impressed with the win, and think Lil Nog would beat him and Mousasi and him 50/50 just on the fact Gerard hasn't faced someone like that yet, so it's a tough call for me . | |
