Republican base was out strong. That bloc is a consistent voter, and they wanted Obama out in the worst way.

The base didn't want another moderate.

08 - 59,934,814 for McCain - didn't win independent
12 - 58,122,514 for Romeny - won independent vote

The only way GOP wins is with a candidate that gets people out voting. The base and grass roots movement that can win the office is conservative.

shrinking #'s due to the fact that the conservative base is old and dieing off. % of republicans who vote was still very high.

So several million conservative died in the past 4 years.

Was bs'ing on that.

Still 50 something million republicans. If I had to guess, at least 65% of them voted. Much higher % of Republicans vote then do registered Dem's.

the dems are smart getting young people and minorities to vote, Jay Z carries more clout than clint eastwood. Until the GOP drops some of the social issues it will loose ground to the progressives.

Romney was a moderate on 1994

Tea party got their asses handed to the. This election

Republican party has a decision to make. They had I've to make after getting stomped in 08 and they got nutty, now the decision is accept immigration reform or become the party of the white minority vote

Not in TX Ted Cruz wins!

Romney & McCain were both moderates who didn't get the base voting.

Ya farmer keep telling yourself Romney and mcCain weren't radical bough? You really are dense, your stances on women's rights and illegal immigration cost you the election, ya buddy get fuckong crazier that will do the trick

Seriously can't believe the stupid hit some f y'all conservatives are coming up with to make uourself feel better about this election, hahaha Romney don't go far right enough jn the primaries ? Are you fukin kidding he went to the rogg of Rick Perry, made Rick look like a Mexican lover, ya your right farmer thats hat y'all need, by all means jut gift wrap the 2016 election to the democrats

Might as well, white voters dropped another 2% this election (as last election) same will happen for 2016 stop alienating womb, minorities and immigrants or y'all are going to be the minority party for a long time to come

My bad that we wrong, I shouldn't have said your stances = republican party stances

Mitt Romney went to the far right during the primaries on immigration reform and it cost him this election, same with women's issues, whn rush limvaugh calls a citizen a slut and you don't have the balls to say shame on you Rush, well it's no wonder Mitt Romney got 2 MILLION LESS VOTES THAN JOHN MCCAIN DID

SERIOUSLY think about that the republican party lost 2 million voters on 4 years
