Kampmann should get an interim title shot

Time for Condit to put his champion pants on and defend that interim title. Dana needs to not let him walk around calling himself a champion when it's really just a #1 contender voucher if he's not going to defend it. That's what interim is.

GSP aint walkin through that door anytime soon people. Kampmann has a "win" over Condit and just beat the hottest WW. I felt Carlos won that fight but it was a great fight. I know Kampmann has his haters on here that pick against him in every fight, but he's put in his work fighting top competition for awhile now. Got hosed vs. Sanchez, very close with Shields, beat Alves and Ellenberger. Pretty much getting smoked by Daley is his only real stand out loss at WW. I say give it to him. Make Carlos fight. Interim does not mean reservation.

I'm not really on the Hendricks wagon. I scored the last one for Kos.

I can't see Kampmann leap frogging Hendricks, but I would be up for it.

The point is I don't feel those last two performances justify Kampmann jumping into title contention.

Love the match making. Condit & Hendricks get first crack at GSP. If there is an injury then the Kampmann v Rory winner steps in. If not injury then the winner could wait it out or have one more fight before the title maximum.

Kampmann shouldn't leap both Hendricks and Condit. Plus there isn't enough time for all of that.

I agree with most of this kings, I mean what's the point of having a interim title if you're not going to defend it.

The only thing here I agree with is that Condit should fight instead of waiting for GSP.

Yup it makes a mockery of the trinket.

Yea I donno, we already had a title fight when we had none without an interm fight, so it isn't like the thing holds the division hostage, and with GSP looking to return this year, I don't see why we absolutely need a title fight anyway. Kampann is only a contender because the division sucks.

He took out Condit, Story, Thiago, Alves, and Ellenberger. Should add Diego to the list too if it wasn't for one of the worst decisions in a long time. He hung close with Shields, but fell short. Its not always pretty, but that resume speaks volumes.

No, he shouldn't fight for the Interim title. But damn that dude is a fighter.

Yea farmer is right. I have been a Kampmann hater since ESPN but dude is legit at this weight. It is probably time I eat the crow on old boy, isn't it?

Yeah I also can't shake when Swick was replaced by Daley on short notice and Kampp didn't take the fight seriously and got owned. I was at that fight. But Kamp never went down and the fight was stopped against the cage. But that was his only bad loss at WW. IMO he won both the Sanchez and Shields fights.
