| With Nog and Lesnar on the shelf, this is obviously the option that makes most sense. It's one big difference between the UFC and Strikeforce... The UFC doesn't allow a fighter to not defend a title for years on end. I think this is the direction that the UFC goes now...
I just read Carwin's weekend Twitter and he says he did not have surgery on the strained MCL. He's just rehabbing it, and sounds like he will be ready if Dana decides to pull the trigger on an interim title fight. | |

| He should have the surgery if it needs it, but if he can go, this should be the obvious next step. Or Jr Dos Santos vs Frank Mir. | |
