I don't think so BBC, GSP might not want to spend a bunch of time in Nicks guard like everyone seems to think. Nick will threatin from his back like no other fighter he's faced besides BJ but we all know what he used to negate BJs guard. I think most of the fight will be on the feet with GSP still going for takedowns but not spending alot of time in Nicks guard when he gets one and sooner or later Nicks gonna get the better of GSP. Whether by caughting him in a sub or finishing him on the feet.

GSP has been around a long time, rolls with Roger, trains his ass off...almost impossible to imagine him getting caught in a sub at this point for me. His top game BJJ cancels out Nick's guard. He'll have a real steady diet of kicks and jabs on the feet to set up takedowns

Should be noted that Nick has always shown the wear of fight in the cage, we can find many fights where his face is worse then this, where as Penn's face has been one of the better in terms of not showing damage, this is prob the worst we have seen Penn look post fight.

Just watched Cerrone vs the Midget. What a mismatch.

That is far more damage then BJ has ever showed before. I think they said he had only been cut 1 time before. It's not even close, this is by far the worse he has looked post fight.

I agree that GSP has hell good top game(expecially when aided by vasoline) but Nick has one of the best guards in mma. Nick will atleast be able to nutralize GSPs gnp and everytime he does get a takedown, he's not gonna do shit with it and the fight will be stood up.

What was the other fight he was cut in?

He had a very small cut a little above his cheek after the first Edgar fight. If that is the only other time he had ever been cut in a career that feature 3 fights with Matt Hughes, 2 fights with GSP, a fight with Lyoto Machida, Takanori Gomi, Sean Sherk, Kenny Florian, Jon Fitch, and Diego Sanchez...what Diaz did to that face is pretty fuckin remarkable.

Don't forget twice with Caol Uno and Jens Pulver as well as Din Thomas when he was top 5 in the world, Kings.
