Robbie would beat Leben and probably Bisping, just good style matchups for Robbie. But Maia would submit his ass, Sonnen would hold him down and Munoz would cruise to a win over Robbie. You are fucking high!
I wish, won't be for another few hours. Thanks for rubbing it in. Sorry Dana but Robbie can still hang with those guys, both are overrated and have the styles that he can handle.

| That Babalu fight was competitive, Babalu is not a bad striker and it was a catchweight fight. It wasn't nearly as bad as the Jacare fight where he just quit. | |

Cung isn't gonna brawl with Leben. He will pick him apart and avoid the left. Leben beat some brawlers, but I am not sold on him being a top guy at all.

If Cung took it serious he would mop the octagon with Leben.

| Anyways, one of the fights I've been wanting for a few years is Cung Le vs Melvin Manheof.
That is a fight they can make happen.

| Manhoef's chin is a question mark but I would still pick him to win. I don't think Cung really wants any part of an offensive slugfest like that and Melvin still has the speed and explosiveness | |

| If Cung Le fought Leben and I had to bet on it, I'd put my money on Leben. I don't think Cung Le could put Leben away and I don't think Cung Le could dodge the big one for 3 rounds at the moment. Cung Le vs Melvin would be fun to watch though. No way both chins hold up for 3 rounds. | |

| Melvin gasses way to much. That's why I think Cung would win. I don't see Cung going in to slug when Leben gets rocked and gives us all the look we are used to seeing like before he axed the ax murderer. Cung would kick a hole thru him or clinch and throw. That's how I see it playing out. Cung should fight Spider before Leben anyways. I want to see how Spider fairs against a guy as fast as Cung. I know it won't happen, just sayin. | |

ok, you can say that excuse or u can be realistic and say that akiyama is just not that good as most thouht having lost his 3 fights in the ufc. once again leben is no elite fighter but he is a real fighter/mixed martial artists but cung on the other hand is a San Shou fighter trying to be an mixed martial artist/actor at the same time.

so cung should fight the p4p champ before he fights a gatekeeper. forget contenders , lets throw cung in there against one of the goat fighters. lol. cung kick a hole through leben or clinch and thrown? once again leben has faced way better opponents and judokas than cung. when has cung ever kicked a hole through a top opponent anyways. not saying he cant but if i remember frank rocked le a couple of times and thats cus he was playing around during the fight and fightin les fight. had he not been so foolish he might of not gotten his arm broken but up until that point he wasnt doing so bad in the stand up department. guys like simpson werent able to just wrestle leben down why should le. dude seriously u have le too high on the pedestal. heck im not even a leben fan

Cung lost to a god-awful fighter because he gassed despite taking like no damage the whole fight. And beast, I'll give you a hint on how Anderson and Cung would go down

Scott Smith is god-awful? man step back off the hyperbole. and sure maybe u can knock Smith's overall skill set, but his one punch KO power is not up for debate, so whatever happened prior to the KO, does not takeaway from the KO.

I mean he was never special to begin with but now he's just a punching bad against anyone with above-average standup that needs to retire before he gets brain damage

| Nah god awful is way off mark. Washed up might be fitting, but the dude was decent in his time. And power is the last thing to go, so he still has that in his fight with Cung.
As far as how he fares vs average strikers, it's hard to judge, cause all his recent losses were against elite level strikers.

| Smith is far from God awful. Anyway, Le is rusty and older, but in a sport predicated on match ups and skill sets, Le even two years ago was one of the hardest fights for Anderson Silva in the entire sport. Now, a dumbass might look at the wikipedia page of Cung Le and have a meltdown, but there are no dumbasses on this forum? Are there?
Le's standing skill set is significantly better than anyone Anderson has beaten in the UFC by far. Franklin and a two year off lay off Belfort are the only real strikers Anderson has even really faced you know. There are names like Leben and Cote but please show me there highlight reels from San Shou and please show me where they've used some of the highest level possible striking in MMA like Le has. Opposition or not, the tools Le uses in MMA can't be denied. This is a constantly over looked facet of Anderson Silva.
The biggest issue with amateur MMA fans is overlooking skills and match ups and looking at the names on a record. You have to analyze everything.

| I used to think Melvin would beat Le based on intensity but now I just think Le would back peddle and catch dude coming in, knocking him the truck down with a jab. | |

| I don't think people give Le enough credit for the shamrock win. Frank was by no means washed up. That was a truly great fight, and one in which Le showed all his talents and a fair amount of toughness as well.
And the smith win was a solid one. A great win? nah, but when in shape he showed he is multiple classes above Smith.
Now the fact that his san shou ability has transferred over to MMA validates his san shou credentials, but typically I would be a bit wary of giving him all sorts of hype based on his stellar record in a sport that is not well populated.
Further Anderson is a different beast. Now after the Shamrock win, I was thinking "yeah I'd love to see that fight", but Le has let that transform back to "le would get crushed", cause while Anderson was giving us highlight reel KO's over former ufc champions in the names of Belfort and Griffin, Le was on the sidelines, getting out of shape and losing to Scott Smith.
Could the idea get rejuvanated? Sure if Le gets back in the cage and impresses. A fight vs Leben would be a great step in that direction. Heck, I think it would be premature in terms of Le actually earning it, but if he went out and busted up Leben I'd be cool with throwing him in there vs Spider.
But until something of that ilk happens, Is it really worth discussing? cause right now Le 39, has been off for a year(and counting), and has 7 career MMA victories.

| Yea, I am with capt mostly. But like I said, strictly skill wise, when Le was SF champ he was probably the toughest standing match for Anderson out there in MMA. | |
