Not arguing the ending Farmer. The first round was very close. Hughes controlled the octagon but couldn't get a takedown. Penn landed a few solid punches. Edge slightly to Penn. Second round Hughes got the takedown dlivered some GnP, but got himself in trouble a few times from the top position. BJ was never in any real danger (Hughes was at the end), but the round goes to Hughes. Third was all Hughes. I wouldn't call anything until the third domination... But it was BJ Penn. In my opinion it was the last time Hughes was himself though.

Now what GSP did to BJ was domination beginning to end... Lubed or not...

I remember BJ Penn solidly controlling the fight and nearly subbing Hughes. You thought he fought close in both rounds? I thought it was one sided until Penn fell apart.

Rewatch it Wolf... The first was very close since nothing happened but a couple of stuffed takedowns and a few nice jabs. The second Hughes got the takedown, delivered some ineffective GnP but about 3½ minutes in started to get in truble from the top. Third was all Hughes.

BJ was winning early. I'm not arguing that.

I don't think Hughes was ever getting anywhere near subbed.

By the end of the 2nd Penn had nothing left though.
