Rumors of Hendo being injured, Hendo says he training and happy

I hope this is all a cruel joke. But I'm not very hopeful. They just need to scratch this card and scatter the fights throughout the next few cards. Jones vs Machida 2 with this card is still a bad card.

Speculation has been running rampant since last night in regards to possible changes to UFC 151, and it appears that we'll finally get our answer in under 90 minutes. Dana White is about to make an announcement regarding the event, as per a UFC press release sent out minutes ago:

The Ultimate Fighting Championship® organization will host a media conference call today, Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT for a special announcement by UFC® President Dana White regarding the upcoming UFC® 151: JONES vs. HENDERSON event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1.

Immediately following the announcement, Dana White will be available for questions from media on the call.

A lot of the speculation has been focused on the main event title bout between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and challenger Dan Henderson, but anything is possible at this point. This media call should certainly be interesting. Bloody Elbow will bring you live coverage.

It's not official, that just what is most likely to happen. Machida already accepted the fight, the problem is at Jones's end. He doesn't want to fight Machida at all...but money talks..we will see.


Hendo knee injury has been known for awhile now.

Probably gonna announce Cyborg vs Rousey as the main event of UFC on FOX 6 in February.

Its been known at least for a couple days.

This is all I know:

1. Zuffa offered Hendo more money to fight injured.

2. Hendo declined.

3. They offered Machida the fight who accepted.

4. Jones doesn't want to take the fight.

My guess is Machida vs Jones or Jones vs Chael maybe?

This PPV was all main event anyways. This is horrible news. This really is a FUEL card if you take out the main event.

Hmmm, Anderson Silva would be history. Chale Sonnen would be kind of insulting and shameful. Machida or any other LHW would not be history. Overeem at HW would be History. Seems like that is about it.

I didn't even think about Spider, but you are right. He is healthy and in his mind, there isn't a worthy competitor at the moment.

That is impossible. But JDS or Cain would technically be possible.

Impossible for UFC 151, but not the future.

Known by whom. No major source is reporting it.

They could throw a ton of money at Cain and make that JDS vs Reem fight they want, maybe have it for the New Years card.

I don't think anything historic can be announced for UFC 151.

By Zuffa. Don't be naive to think they found out Hendo was injuries and they got a replacement for Jones all in one day.
