- Will James Harrison retire because of this?
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5706748 The Pittsburgh Steelers excused James Harrison from practice Wednesday as the Pro Bowl linebacker contemplated retirement, according to his agent. I doubt it, not going to walk away from that kind of $

I am really surprised by the player both past and present backlash on this. It pleases me greatly.

| Listening to Mark Schlereth's rant from this morning. He calls it "criminal" that the NFL would fine James Harrison for playing football. Calls the NFL the Nations Hypocrite League for selling bit hits, using microphones on replays to show the fans the sound of the collisions and then fining players for playing football just like they have been taught since they were kids. | |

And NOBODY can say anything to Schlereth. I mean talk about a guy who paid the price. The guy has had what? 20 surgeries?

| 20 surgeries and a fat ass bank account, huge house, honor, glory, and a second career at ESPN. Without his 20 surgeries he has a dwindling 401 K, a minivan from the Clinton presidency and a job in a factory. | |
