| Oh, and by those two guys I mean Fedor and Anderson...obviously Brock's body of work isn't even as good as Machida's. | |

As far as Machida...his body of work is nothing compared to those two guys. I need to see him dominate for awhile before I consider him a worthy opponent to Fedor. The question isn't who is getting into the hall of fame, or who should get a title shot, but who has the best chance to beat Fedor. Do you consider Silva to haev a better chance to beat Fedor than Brock and Machida and if so, why? I'm thinking of how their skills match up more than their accomplishments.

Cus we are discussing who could beat Fredo the Tomato Can Killer. you take Fedor hating to a new level, no respect. I don't hate him. I just don't think he is all that. I mean for Christ Sake, certain individuals tried pumping up Hong Man Choi as a viable opponent Sooner. I do have him ranked first in his division, if that helps. You're pretty funny Andrew. You don't think he's all that, but you still think he's the best heavyweight in the world. I get what he means Jruq... I also think he's the best HW and the #1 P4P guy on the planet. But some act like he's some invincible force that can't be beaten and never will be beaten. He's not superhuman, and he will lose at some point and I think sooner than later. But I GUARANTEE he isn't losing to a big striker that has a supsect ground game. If he can get HMC on the ground, he can get Grim on the ground and he will snap that arm or neck once he does!

| I concur with LTFG. But let me add this. I think there might be, just might be one guy in Strikeforce to beat him and that is Brett Rogers, the problem is he needs another year of grappling training just to try and keep the fight legit. I f he is smart he will be watching what Chuck Liddell does, with his quick escapes and scrambling ability to get the fight back to a stand up, but I am not even sure that will help. | |

Silva has the reach, height and power. They are both impossible to hit when they feel like it, so that may be a wash, but it's Machida's take down defense, and sumo that make me think he would match up better with Fedor. I think Fedor would be able to take down Silva down and hurt him, while Machida could keep the fight standing more easily. That's more along the lines of what I was asking than the way it was going before you answered. I don't know where Andrew was going with it, but ok. My problem with the takedown defense argument is that it's not like Fedor's going to be shooting for a takedown, it'd come from a clinch. And one thing Fedor wouldn't want to do is clinch with Anderson... It's dangerous. I feel like clinching with Machida's a bit safer than clinching with the Spider.

Do you consider Silva to haev a better chance to beat Fedor than Brock and Machida and if so, why? I'm thinking of how their skills match up more than their accomplishments. I understood the question. I'm not even saying anyone is wrong if they think Machida can hang with Fedor, I'm just saying I need to see him face a few more top fighters before I would consider him on the level of a Fedor or Anderson Silva. In Brock's case, his size, strength, and speed will make him a tough matchup for even Fedor. I think Fedor beats them all anyway.

| I don't think that believeing Brock can beat Fedor is bandwagoning. That would mean that ppl are fans of Brock and most are not. That doesn't mean they can't look at it objectively and say "Yeah, I can see that fucking blockhead holding Fedor down and punching him until the ref stepped in and saves Fedor's life". I seriously doubt Fedor is stronger than Mir and Mir's power was nil against Brock. On top of which if it was just power, Mir would have won, but Lesnar is quick and has a top notch base which has carried him to the P4P list in a surprisingly short time. | |

| I voted Machida.
He's probably the most skilled fighter other than Fedor, and wouldn't be giving up a ton of size.
Fedor would win easily, though.
