| Thailand's answer to the historical-fantasy action genre. Anyone who knows who Tony Jaa is knows he makes Jet Li look tame in comparison. The storyline is a basic killed-my-father-warrior-revenge story, but the action...man the action. I really enjoyed the direction of this movie. If you liked any of the other movies I suggested in this overall vein, this won't disappoint at all. 3 for 3 in this Asian battle epic genre so far. I'm probably just a sucker for the genre but there is no way if you like kung fu action you wouldn't like this. | |

| man jaa is the shit. The protector is a good one too and I liked ong bak 1 better but anything with this guy is classic as he does all of his own stunts. I just wish he would make more movies for the U.S | |

| I remember Ong Bak 1 had decent marketing. Good enough that I went out and rented it because of the advertising for it. | |

Would you recommend it? yes I recommend anything with tony jaa in it. He puts chan and li to shame but keep in mind they are somewhat low budget films | |

| I would recommend it to the right viewer. Many do not like martial arts films. It is an exciting film and has many decent martial arts scenes. Terribad in terms of the other things most regular films are judged by. But I liked it alright. I knew what I wanted from it and it gave me as much. But only a few of Ja's acts exceeded my expectations and that is partly from what I had seen of him and this movie before I saw the film. | |
