| Did John Fitch personally insult Dana or is just because he refuses to face Koscheck ? |

So Fitch has to wait even though he's steamrolled through the division ? |

Yes! Kinda shitty move, and even more stupid since Shields is just as boring as Fitch. |

| Jake finishes everyone almost, Fitch finishes no one. Jake looks for subs. Fitch looks for backmount for 8 minutes with no sub attempts. Shields is easily infront of Fitch. New blood. | |

| Lately Shields hasn't been that exciting, and I can't really see the Kampman fight turning into a thrilling affair.
Might as well give Fitch his shot and get it out of the way. |

| Jake is still beating top guys, with some finishes mixed in though he is somewhat boring. New blood and new worthy challenger, Fitch can wait IMO. | |

| Jake Shields should get two fights before Fitch sniffs another shot. He isn't a team player in the UFC's eyes, is boring, and oppressively unequipped to fight the champion. Fitch is only good for a contender killer. Have GSP beat him again if you must, AFTER Shields, and then cut him for all I care. | |

Give the guy a break. Before not being able to finish Mayhem(who is one of the hardest guys in MMA to submit) and Hendo, he finished his last 7 fights. Shields has a lot more going for him than just wrestling. He's one of the best BJJ practitioners at WW. That is why he's the real deal. Like GSP he's a high level mix of the two. Only GSP has a strong striking game. Shields does not deserve the rep set upon him as a dry humper. Unlike Fitch, a man he's often compared to, Shields attempts to finish the fight. I think we'll see Shields do a lot more damage from the top in the UFC. Strikeforce hampers top games by not allowing elbows. Makes it easier for guys on the bottom to play it safe like Hendo did. Kampmann is always full of suprises. Right when you think you know where he stands he has a great performance. This is definetly not an easy win for Shields. I'm glad Dana is not going to set back Shields because he didnt do his impressive win streak in the UFC. THe names the guy has defeated at both MW and WW can't be disputed. If he beats Kampmann he deserves a shot before Jon Fitch who other than coming back from a long layoff Alves, has not really beat anybody that would warrant a title shot.

| If Shields wins he should get the next shot and Fitch should fight the Hughes-Penn winner. |

| I'm think if Kampmann beats Shields he would be next in line as well.
I think Dana would be looking for any excuse NOT to give Fitch another shot at the title and Kampmann could prove to be a solid excuse should he beat Jake.

| Im cool with Shields getting next if he wins.
His time in the UFC may be relatively short, but the list of wins in his current streak more then warrants it.
