| Sweet, yeah I like Petis too, Bendo's stand up is just way too sloppy. |

| Always been a huge Pettis guy, but a real close fight with Stevens and that sick headkick KO to Title shot? If we're not gonna give Frankie a rematch lets let someone clearly seperate themselves from the pack for a Title shot. Pettis vs Bendo is far more entertaining, but let Pettis beat like Jim Miller who only lost to Bendo recently and that winner gets a shot. I really don't care cause I love Pettis, but sometimes Title shots seem to come to easy. | |

| Miller is facing Diaz next.
The only guy who really deserves the next shot is Melendez but for whatever reason they want to waste his talent in Strikeforce. |

| They are probably going to do winner of Pettis/Bendo vs the winner of Miller/Diaz.
Also think they should do Edgar vs Tibau and the winner of that fight face Barboza/Dunham. Winner there gets a title shot.

Well it's no big secret that Maynard is fighting Guida. Winner of that fight maybe against the winner of Jacob Volkmann vs.Paul Sass? Both of those guys are on huge rolls.

Tibau is on a nice three fight winning streak and is really only the top LW available not booked for a fight. I don't think he should drop to 145 quite yet. In my opinion he did beat Bendo and I see him beating pretty much every other LW. I think he should fight at 155 until he loses again.

| I think for his long term health Edgar should drop to 145. Edgar vs Aldo would be epic. |

| No other fight makes sense besides this for either fighter. It is a good thing hardcore fans on the internet who have inflated senses of what makes a fighter "deserve" a shot don't run the UFC, and Dana White does.
Edgar got his title shot after fighting Matt Veach whoever the fuck that is. Florian and Sanchez didn't beat a murderers row of top five contenders either. They beat solid "pack guys" guys like Huerta and Stevenson. Lauzon and Stephens are similar caliber fighters to me. "Pack guys" We could nitpick subjectively about this guy being "top 14" while this guy was "top 21", but that is whatever to me. They're all about the same to me, even if Stevenson and Huerta had bigger names. Considering the fact Showtime won in super impressive fashion over a guy who just took out would-be contender Melvin Gulliard in similarly impressive fashion, has a legendary title battle and win over current champ Benson Henderson already, and produces highlights like nobody business, he is easily the most deserving right now. I don't think he has backed into a title fight by any means. The WEC battle, win over Benson, Showtime kick, and now his destruction of Lauzon all matter, and all perfectly justify a shot.
Of all the contenders named, and Benson, the common opponent is Clay Guida, and he did beat Pettis where everyone else beat him in route to the shot. So in theory I could see the premise that he needs to rematch Guida, but that is whatever. Clay has a fight. Pettis is the shit. Do this fucking fight.

| Pettis, Gil and Edgar look to me like the only legit options. Everyone is sick of the rematches so Edgar is prob out. Gil's in SF so he is prob out. So that leaves Pettis who has factors on his side(win over Bendo etc) that says he should get the next go despite prob needing another win.

| Edgar should dabble 145, Pettis vs Bendo obviously makes good sense. Miller vs Diaz ready and waiting. | |

| I know Miller got wrecked by Bendo, but if he beats Diaz he'll be 11-2 in the UFC with zero title shots and some nice wins. I think he should be considered. Probably one more win after Diaz will do it.
Showtime probably needs another win and same goes with Edgar and maybe 2 for Maynard.
So with everyone needing more wins then why not Showtime. It makes the most sense even though most of us agree he needs another win.
