| I think we have all heard the talks about Pac moving up even more but today is the first time I put all the pieces together. First off, we would need Pac and more likely Sergio to win. This keeps the MW champ being an undersized MW. They are fighting 1 week apart which lines up their schedules nicely. Mayweather could have a legitimate excuse of court dates or worse. This does not leave Pac with too many challengers. Berto, the winner of Bradley-Alexander(which would be too late most likely), or JMM are the only other names off the top of my head. I think the Pac-AM fight will show Pac's limit which I believe is around 146 or 147. This means Pac-Sergio would HAVE to be a catchweight fight for it to be remotely fair. Luckily, Sergio is fighting at a catchweight of 157. This means he should be able to get down to 155 if needed by Pac.
All the dominoes are in place but this fight seems ludicrous to me. Would Arum put him in there? Could Pac even compete? What would the win do for the winner?

| A "Super' Fight must be between two "Super Star" fighters. Sergio is no where near that status. | |

| Like it or not Khan vs Mayweather will be the next super fight, unless Flod suddenly does a u-turn or Khan loses to Maidana or Bradley/Alexander. |

| How about Khan beat Maidana and the winner of Alexander/Bradley before we start saying he is going to be in a superfight.

| hahaha Pacquaio isnt crazy enough to get in the ring with Martinez. Roach and Arum would never let this happen. Pacquaio will end up figting Marquez next year. Khan will end up fighting Floyd. by the end of next year Pac and Flomo will end up fighting. | |

My dear friend that is the plan being hatched by Golden Boy. |

| As for Martinez vs Pac forget it ! Manny turned down the chance to face Yuri Foreman because of size issues, Martinez is bigger and ten times more talented. |

| I think win, lose or draw, Pac fights JMM as his farewell fight next year. I don't think he cares about fighting Floyd anymore. It'll generate enough money for both of them to retire and cement Pac's legacy should he win. Khan still has a lot to prove within his own weight class. Let them fight it out at 140 before he steps up in weight. | |

| I can't see a third Marquez fight happening, Bob Arum is against it and is still refusing to negotiate with Golden Boy ( Marquez's promoter). |

| I don't see the JMM fight either. Arum isn't touching it and there is no good weight for it to happen at. Martinez is smaller than Yuri but way more skilled. If it is his farewell fight, they might go all out and go for it. | |

If Manny tells Arum to make the JMM fight, Arum will do it. There will be enough money to go around.

| To tell everyone the truth, I dont care of Manny Pacquaio anymore. Its not like hes in very meaningful fights. Hes just fighting a bunch of guys how wont stand much of a chance. | |

My dear friend that is the plan being hatched by Golden Boy. My Scottish friend. If Kahn hasn't become anything resembling the man at 140, it isn't going to be a superfight.

If Manny tells Arum to make the JMM fight, Arum will do it. There will be enough money to go around. Do you really think Manny will be so eager after those two close brutal wars ? |

| I do, Roach said they actually preferred it over a Margarito fight
Arum had it his way though and we get Tony

| If the Mayweather fight doesn't happen I can see Freddie urging Manny to retire. |

I am all for it, it would be the perfect way for both men to end their careers, I just have my doubts. |

| http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/mma/boxing/09/07/month.review/index.html - Quote :
- ..., so Roach and Pacquiao had to move on. And Roach knew exactly which opponent to pursue. He didn't want Margarito. Roach is from the old school. A fighter who did what Margarito tried to do, Roach reasons, has no place in the sport.
"Personally, I wanted Marquez," Roach said. "I thought we beat Marquez both times, but I'd like to shut him up. I really would. A lot of people think Marquez has Manny's number. I think differently. I think we could knock him out this time."
Roach's lobbying for Marquez fell on deaf ears. A fight with Marquez meant cutting a deal with Golden Boy, Top Rank's arch-nemesis in the industry. Margarito, on the other hand, was in house and in desperate need of a big fight to regain his status in the sport.
I think it could happen next year w/out Floyd and the Jr WWs still mixing it up

| This post may come back to haunt me but I think that the JMM option will be almost entirely elminated because of the weight issue and because JMM will look old against Katsidis. I will not pick against him but Katsidis is improved and I thought JMM did not look as great as everyone said against a shopworn Diaz. | |

+1 Marquez is now 37 and has reached his limit at Lightweight. I think the Katsidis fight will be similar to the first Diaz war where Baby Bull came on strong at the start but was gradually wore down by Marqeuz. In the rematch Marquez's accuracy and timing seemed to be off. |

| I thought Marquez was more offensive than he's use to in the rematch, Im sure he expected Diaz to charge at him again but instead he tried to box with him
Didnt get KO'd but still ended up getting his ass kicked

Didnt get KO'd but still ended up getting his ass kicked I am not knocking his performance, Marquez just seemed a little off in the rematch. Maybe it was just a little rust. |

I thought it was some slippage of the reflexes. He was 95% of what he was in the first Diaz fight. He is old. He has been easier to hit as he has gone up in weight. I'd love Marquez to retire after the Katsidis fight. I don't want to be hearing stories about his health 10 years from now.
