| Oscar changed Pac's and Floyd's. Made the two divas. Pac stepped to the plate and is still doing, Floyd choose to go on vacation.
Interestingly, I think Pac changed JMM's. Made Juan a bigger name. I would say that had JMM not fought Pac, he would not have become the big star now.

| Ya, I was going to say they changed eachother's careers but I left out any criticism of Diego because he didn't get a full chance to show what he had afterward. | |

| Just a question. Can anyone recall a big name that fought Tommy Hearns that, win, lose or draw, didn't have to go straight to the hospital? Also, up to Hagler, I think he changed the careers of everyone he fought, including my guy Leonard. | |

Hearns is one of those guys that as the years go by gets better and tougher in hindsight.

Hearns is one of those guys that as the years go by gets better and tougher in hindsight. True Marble, but long ago Sports Illustrated ran a story on this point. All of his opponents (Even Iran Barkly) were hosptialized to some degree. I think he has an argument for the most punishing offensive arsenal ever.

Hearns is one of those guys that as the years go by gets better and tougher in hindsight. Pipino Cuevas begs to differ....27-6 before Hearns....Won 12 in a row, 11 by KO.....after Hearns...8-8.

I meant that given the perspective of time one no longer falls for the "he lost his biggest fights" line and recognizes him for what he was. An absolutely fearsome, monstrous puncher who could outbox great boxers.

Geeze I somehow conveyed the exact opposite of what I meant. I meant time passing made it clear just how great Heanrs really was.

| Yes you homo, championship caliber fighters like Bute have higher expectations than others. Manny Pacquiao did it, JMM, Williams, Martinez, Abraham and countless others have been known to move up weight to take on better opposition. | |

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.Never liked Nunn. Call me an unsophisticated fan, an untrained eye, knock yourself out, but Nunn was the most boring Son of a Bitch I ever saw. Thank God for Tony's 11th round KO of Nunn.

That's a good one. That guy was supposed to do work in that division. I'd say that Pavlik destroyed Miranda's career as well. I remember the commentators oozing over miranda in the Green fight and the first five or so rounds of Pavlik Miranda. Miranda has become a punching bag for top fighters ever since.
