He just took out Saint Peter in six easy rounds and he's scheduled to fight the Archanegel Gabriel for the Nirvana Welterweight Championship. The winner gets Lucifer.

| The problem with same day weigh-ins is what happens when a fighter completely drains himself and is unable to perform during the fight, he'll be in danger of damaging himself.
Oscar outweighing Flod didn't make a difference. |

| Then he would have to fight at a proper weight instead of cutting a ton and rehydrating | |

Exactly. High school wrestlers still weigh in the day of. For a hundred years boxers weighed in the day of the fight, then one day it was changed under the guise of saving the fighter. It is a both a marketing ploy and a way for a bigger guy to basically fight down a few divisions without having to really fight at a disadvantage.

It's not that simple, sometimes the most healthiest athletic fighters begin to struggle making limits with age and outgrowing a division. |

It's not that simple, sometimes the most healthiest athletic fighters begin to struggle making limits with age and outgrowing a division. Then you move up or retire. You do not endanger the other fighters. And it is that simple. You either make the weight in the class you're fighting in or you move on to another one.

| its called weight limits..its in the rules..147 is 147 not 162-163..your a middleweight then..its the responsibilty of a boxing commision to insure that these weight limites are adhered to..they dont fullfill there obligation..same day weigh ins help to enforce the rules ..yes its understood if they weight in 9 or 10 hours before the fight that a fighter may gain 2-3 pounds..one commision requires fighters to weigh in again the night of the fight and if your more then TEN pounds over the weight your title is vacant..someone thought that was unfair..both that thought and rule is absurb since the commision by this action litterly is tossing the rules out the window..a fighter of equal abilty moves up in weight.he weights in at 146..fight night hes still 146 the other guy is not 149 or so but 162 or 163 and ali says thats ok..its not..rules are there for a reason..part of that reason is competitive fairness..sooo with all due respect to ali if kahn is matched with sergio martinez who will come in at 156 or so i dont want to hear that hes to big for kahn to fight.0..thoses that feel same day weigh ins are not a good thing then be silent with that arguement hes tooo big..lets just say everything goes...147 means anywhere from 147 to 163..thats ok..yep. | |
