Willie Pep might've been the greatest ever, let alone the best fighter under the letter "P."
Not having any trouble the letter "R." It's obviously "Sugar Ray Robinson." As for the letter Q, I'm having those morning blackouts again. If it's Jerry Quarry, I think it would be pretty damn unfortunate, and I'm one of his biggest fans.

...true..ive always felt it was 231 wins..that was a number given by several reliable sources..boxing rec says 229 the hall of fame says 230..lol i say its 231..either way its awsome..

On the Ring site, someone referred to Pep's record as "bloated."

Like it was somehow a bad thing.

i dont mind it being bloated as long as he fought that many times. if a fighter now had that many wins, i wouldnt mind if three quarters of them were bums. that record shows me that they keep busy and arent just fighting the money fights.

So is Saddler in the "S" discussion? Leibling would sure say so.
