What would you do if your buddy stole $1,000 from you?

How far would you go? How far is too far? Recently my buddy got caught slippin and left his wallet in the open with $1300 in it. Money he just recently won at the casino, that is why he had so much money in the wallet at the time.
My buddy had a few drinks and was feeling pretty good. Didn't realize the wallet was gone until the next morning but really there is only 1 person who could have taken the wallet. His "friend".
My buddy has an insane temper and talked about kicking in his door an beating him with a bat. The other guy has recently lied and started some more drama. I'll update you on the situation once I get a response.
So the question is what would you do?

OK well the guy already caught 1 minor ass whoopin because of it. They squared up 1 on 1 and the guy that stole got his eye split open.
But now the twist come into play. The guy is claiming he was hit with a pole and jumped by 10 people. Also claiming the guy raped his girl 4 years ago when she cheated on him with my buddy who got the money stolen.
Now they are talking about bringing more shit into it.
So what do you do? Beat the guy everytime you see him? Jump him? Or do your best to forget about it since you did get your hands on him that 1 time?

Neither do I. But one of my buddies had it happen to him. I guess you wouldn't call him a "friend" but they were cool and went to school together and know alot of the same people.

That is exactly what I think as well. I want the guy to just let it go now. Even with the guy still running his mouth.

Interesting. Most casinos in Vegas would never tolerate any type of theft. At least when I went there, it was common to see people putting 20,000 on a table and taking their eyes off of it. Why? Everyone knows the gangsters who run the place would kill you for stealing. As for your buddy getting his money stolen, this sounds more like a personal thing but my first move would've been to involve the Casino. If that failed, maybe it would've been wise to bring in the police. There comes a time in your life when you have to realize that settling problems with your fists can land you in jail for a while. Self Defense is one thing. A revenge attack, even if it's over money, is not an acceptable defense according to our courts. Why do I say this? Because losing a thousand dollars wouldn't seem like such a big problem when you're in a jail cell with a 300 pound homosexual who seems to think you're his girlfriend. I've never done any time in jail, however I learned to stop getting physical when I was about 24 or 25. This is about the time the judge stops looking at you as a dumb kid. Just a word to the wise.

OK I have to say as nice as I am on here in real life I am a "little" violent. If it was me the guy would not have needed another beating but I say the guy needs to beat that ass again. But thats me talking.

The logical thing to do is just let it go but I know there is no way I could.

The money was won the night before. The wallet was taken from a friends house late at night. The casino is far removed from the situation.
But like you and others are saying how far can you go over money? He is currently in college and has a ton of bills as it is. Is it really worth it to put your future at risk? I know the emotions are running high but you have to have some perspective.

I believe in doing things the right way. There are people (I'm not one of them) who can get away with just about anything. They're professional criminals. This is why nobody fucks with them. I do not have this talent. If I went upside the man's head, the police would track me down in no time flat. Also, this guy lied and said 10 people attacked him. If his face looked bad enough, and he could convince the police of this, it gets more confusing. The wise thing to do is take it to small claims court. If there was a witness (Or somebody wants to lie and say they saw it) your friend may get his money back.

My buddy involved is only 20, like a little brother to us and he has a major, major temper. It took all we could to get him not to use the baseball bat. But with all the extra drama caused by the guy it is hard to keep the guy level headed enough not to do something stupid. This thing is still ongoing.

Yeah he brought 2 other guys with him. Now my buddy had about 8 with him, but no one jumped in even for a second. But the other 2 guys are also lying saying he was jumped and hit with a pole. Also like I said the guy who stole the money and got beatup is claiming my buddy raped his girl 4 years ago. Now my buddy did fuck her 4 years ago but it was by no means rape.

He sounds like me when I was his age. Good luck. I beat one of my buddies ass real bad in high school for jacking my Oakley's. Take him to the gym for a couple of days and let him get some of his anger out and also get him laid. That always helped me. Hell it still does. LOL

Thats why I stay away from shit like that. I dont hang out with people that can get me in any trouble what so ever. I just hang out with my cousin and he is 30 so he is settled down. I have not been in a fight in like 7 years. Thank God. Although I do enjoy punching someone in the face. Is that bad to say? That seems kinda fucked up.

Ousoonersou, I have to go, however before I do, let me say this. It seems like you have the least emotion invested in this which tells me you can keep a cool head. Explain the legal repercussions to your friend and discuss alternative methods to make him feel better about the situation. If he's a hot head and 20, he won't have the patience to take it to the courts. Ask him if 1000 dollars is worth 7 years of spending his life behind bars. Ask him to do the calculations. If there's no controlling him, see if he can be calmed down long enough for a 3rd party with some real criminal experience to take a long look at this. LOL: I'm with Marble. As long as you know yourself, everything's cool. I like beating on bullies, but I stopped doing that a while back for all the reasons I stated.

Yeah I'm pretty level headed, believe me we are trying to keep him cool. The kid is a gym rat and very strong and aggressive. He is also already on probation for some dumb shit. So he knows the risk of going too far with this but he just can't leave things how they are. Fucked up thing is he is on probation for something he didn't even do. He just didn't have the money to fight the charges and could have got a couple years if he failed.
