CHARLES OLIVEIRA REPLACES MATT WIMAN AT FIGHT NIGHT

Quote :: The revolving opponent door has swung once again for Efrain Escudero. Originally slated to face John Gunderson at Ultimate Fight Night in Austin, TX on Sept. 15.; after Mac Danzig was forced to withdraw from the co-main event versus Matt Wiman, Escudero was pulled to replace Danzig.

However, with the recent news of Matt Wiman breaking his arm Escudero was left without an opponent, Gunderson has already been matched with Yves Edwards. UFC match maker, Joe Silva, has saved the day once again by pairing Charles Oliveira with Escudero.

Sources close to the fight confirmed the match to MMAWeekly.com today.
Charles Oliveira (13-0) recently made his UFC debut at UFC on Versus 2 on August 1. In addition to scoring a win, Oliveira also walked away with “Submission of the Night.” In Oliveira’s thirteen fights, he has only gone to decision one time.

Efrain Escudero (13-1) is coming off an impressive win over Dan Lauzon at UFC 114 on May 29.

That should be a good fight.

I like this fight, I think escudero will be a legit fighter in the near future, and we get to see a lil more of this Oliveira kid

that last triangle for charles had to be the sickest, slickest, quickest triangle I have ever seen. IF this kid gets past Efrain watch the fuck out.
