| Good have him back. He's a vet who's a solid top 15-20 guy and former IFL champ. | |

| The UFC is on a full scale assault on any note worthy/name 205'rs outside the promotion. Little Nog will follow soon you'd have to assume. | |

| I think the Matyushenko's last win was over Jason Lambert unless he has fought since then.
The UFC is going to use Vlad as a tool for up and comers like Jones and Cantwell.

| I will say vlad is one of the most underrated 205'ers in MMA hands down. Think about this for a second. Since 2000 his only losses have been too Ortiz, Arlovski and Lil Nog. in that time he's 15-3 with wins over Kondo, Lil Nog, Wiuff, Rizzo, boetsch and Lambert. He won't be a cake walk for anyone and I really wouldn't be surprised if he got some serious upsets. | |

| I don't think he's a setup for Liddell, I think it's far too much of a gamble he'd beat the Iceman now.
Like Combat said, he's got some serious wins in the last few years and he certainly has the wrestling to hang with the best at LHW. Only thing is his age, which makes for interesting matchups against the younger end of the division.
Jones, Cantwell, Stann and Polish Krz would all make good fights for Vladdy. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Coleman, either.

| I love the Janitor but come on. His striking is slow and sloppy, and his wrestling is no danger to Liddell. Tito fucking mauled him. He is valued exactly where he belongs. His claim to fame was the Little Nog win. That has been erased.
He'd have to catch Liddell and if you've seen him fight you'd know he doesn't have the tool box for that. He is a poor man's Tito and would get KO'd by Jake O'Brien.

| You have any idea about Jake's striking ability? His twin brother is a pro boxer and his boxing skills are pretty decent. Did you even see his fight with Jones?
Somebody doesn't watch fights!

| In fact O'Brien was beating Jon Jones ass in the first part of that fight but the fact he is a one dimensional striker eventually hurt him. If O'Brien got with a good kickboxing coach and helped him increase his striking tool box O'Brien would have a chance to make some noise.
His hands are faster, his technique is better, his wrestling would negate Vlad's and he would knock the Janitor out. I love Vlad but he can't hang with today's fighters. O'Brien with a second round knock out.
