One of the best ever imo. Ultra dramatic submission in the main event, dramatic KO on an undercard fight that made it's way to TV, A brilliant display of technique by Jr vs a brilliant display of toughness by Roy, add on the 2 finishes by Hughes and Guida. top notch.

| That is true Cap, but you never know what you are going to get. Sometimes, you see a card and it looks solid and it is a fucking snoozefest, sometimes, you get a card that looks "meh", but it is really kick-ass! So in the overall scheme of things, Sonnen did an excellent sales job and performed. | |

| It bodes well for the UFC to have a card out perform expectations and then reward all the last minute purchasers with exciting action and dramatic fights.
Not to bring this subject up but while boxing lets the biggest fight of all time slip away the UFC has posted three of the last four cards with close to a million buys. Boxing is on it's way to the worst year ever in terms of PPV and the UFC the best. WWE? Are they even a factor?

Are they even a factor? and i've seen quite a few pretty big boxing matches(paul Williams, Berto,) where the place is flat out empty. The big fights sell out obviously, but after that if the fighters arn't local(Ward, Adamek, the euro guys) people are not showing up.

| I think the WWE lately has 1 or 2 PPVs in the top 10. Over the last 3-5 years the UFC has 6 in the top 10 and boxing & the WWE usually split 2 a piece. I think UFC 118 might shoot past UFC 100, just because it has a name boxer in it going against a legend of MMA. That might entice boxing fans to buy it. | |

| Correct me if I am wrong, but Mayweather Mosley is the only boxing fight poised to break a million buys all year. 1.35 million, a number which after such a huge push and with Mosley's name was actually a disappointment after initial indicators said 1.8.
Besides Pacman and PBF, what fighters generate PPV buys in boxing? Any?
Sooner or later the intitials PPV have come to mean UFC. Anything else is second or third fiddle.

highly doubtful. Shooting past UFC 100 is pretty far fetched to say the least but actually andrew is right in that the cross over audiance will be there. James Toney will talk the talk, and UFC 114 proved the boxing audiance can be successfully targeted.

| Trash talk sells.
I am still waiting to hear 116's numbers, they've been awfully quiet on that front. |

700k buys plus what 50,000 seats sold at the Cowboy stadium bird ? and that was without 24/7 nor was Manny facing a big name. |

| I understand that, but I thought Manny was bigger name than 700K buys. | |

| Manny vs Mosely may have done more sells than Floyd vs Mosely. They put Manny with a relative unknown to casual fans and he still did 700k so imagine him with another name. | |

| 700 is what GSP and Mir/Carwin did. Not bad at all, but not the monster numbers that will keep boxing on top of PPV. | |

With the right opponent and strong advertizing, before Manny fought Oscar he was selling 300k against Marquez. 700k is still impressive for a Filipino in America. |
