| The old buzzard just ain't done and he won't go away. Nor should he.
Seems to me the obvious next fight for him is the Dawson-Pascal loser, right? Were he to win that does he then get a shot at the Dawson-Cloud winner?
I don't think Glencoffe's career is close to finished yet.

| I think he should retire. He didnt look the same last night. He was hurt a few times and I have never seen that before out of him. If his chin goes he is done. I am sad to say I think its going right now. Also he didnt look in shape either. |

Yet he threw 70+ punches a round for twelve rounds.

Yet he threw 70+ punches a round for twelve rounds. But they were not hard as he normally throws. Did you think he was in shape last night? |

| What's next ? The degradation of fighting for $15 000 on FNF to hopefully earn another "opportunity" to be paid a paltry 80 grand on an HBO undercard in a fight he has to score a KO decapitation to have a prayer of winning. Not even one of three judges last night had Glen winning more than 4 rounds. A flipping travesty. Retire Glen.
If that is the best shape you can get in, you're done anyway.

NOBODY can take the shots he took and stay on his feet and throw 70 punches a round and NOT be in shape. Now was it the best I've ever seen him? Nope. But he never gassed and he drove the action for most of the fight.

Oh God, he'd still annihilate Shumenov wouldn't he? Diaconu is a very interesting idea.

Ladies and gentlemen? Mr. Don King! It's all Floyd's fault, his flashy necklace distracted the judges. |

| As James Toney said, "It ain't bodybuilding." Glen was in tremendous shape and in my opinion, outlasted Tavoris Cloud. Let's not forget that, for all the negativity said about Cloud, he's an exceptional fighter in his 20,s. Sometimes, muscles can be deceiving in terms of judging when a "fighter's" in shape. This comes from a guy who lifted weights most of his life. Muscles take up a lot of oxygen. Glen may've looked a little soft but he was hard in the right places. If they went 15 rounds last night, I think it would've favored Glen, not Tavoris. I'll agree with what ever decision Glen makes in terms of his career. He knows he can't win a decision against a name fighter. He's his own man and doesn't want to sell his life away to a promoter. Has he accepted the reality that he may lack the power to knock Dawson or Cloud out? I don't know. However, I think he should consider that when thinking about his future. On the bright side, there is this iinvention called television which allows boxing fans to look past the BS and see that Glen has won most of his fights that went the distance. Right now, I think he'd get a much louder round of applause than any LH in the world. | |

That damned image he has created for himself has to have cost him tens of millions in endorsements. That megawatt smile, his excellence as a fighter, his ability to speak and his good looks? He oughtta be representing every product that sells "speed" on the planet. Sportscars, computers, private jets, household cleaning products, things like Red Bull etc.

I agree. Unfortunately that doesn't translate to Glen's bills being paid. He's a name who is paid like the lowliest of no names.

| He was prettyboy floyd at one point. He was interested in being a real fighter.
Then he decided it was all about the money and started being the villain. The guy who talks smack and ducks guys.

| He loses his next fight against a good opponent, then wins 3 out of his last 4 fights on obscure cards against a slowly declining caliber of opponent before he finally hangs them up. |

| Am I the only one who thought Cloud won the fight last night? I thought it was a lost closer than what the judges had it but i thought he won. |

No, I gave him the victory. He landed the harder more effective punches and won more rounds. I do however think that the close rounds could have gone either way. I could see the fight going to Johnson. I don't think that Cloud is special. Twice against aging past their prime opponents he has looked mortal. When he defeats a prime contender or champ I will believe the hype.

| I'm shocked that so many of you thought Johnson won. Did I watch a different fight?
He looked tired and old after the second round.
