| BoxingScene.com was advised that WBO interim-junior welterweight champion Michael Katsidis has no interest in facing Robert Guerrero in the fall. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer would like to match Katsidis and Guerrero on an HBO televised date of November 6. Katsidis is the mandatory challenger to full WBO champion Juan Manuel Marquez, but that fight is looking less likely as Marquez is being lined up to fight WBA 140-pound champion Amir Khan on December 11. If the Marquez fight falls through, the WBO will strip the Mexican fighter and elevate Katsidis to the status of full champion. Once he becomes the full champion, Katsidis' adviser Sampson Lewkowicz tells BoxingScene that his fighter will look to continue his run in the UK by making the dream of John Murray come true. Katsidis stopped Graham Earl in 2005 and returned to the UK in May to stop previously undefeated Kevin Mitchell. "Katsidis is not interested in fighting Guerrero. There are much bigger opportunities overseas in the UK. He will make Murray's wish happen so he doesn't have to look too far. Michael will continue to beat everyone in the UK until Amir Khan accepts a fight. Khan will be the last person Katsidis will beat in the UK," Lewkowicz said to BoxingScene.com. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=29902 |

| Good for Katsidis. Screw Golden Boy.
Guerrero has done almost nothing to deserve a shot at 135.

| Guererro hasn't done alot since 126.
Was belt holder at 126.
Moved to 130 Edel Ruiz- 30-21-4; the guy Escalante KO'd last night!!!!!! Yourdan- the No contest cut over the eye fight
Moved to 135 Hinojosa- 30-5-1; losing all his fights 2006 on except one DQ win
Back down to 130 Klassen- 24-4-2; good win; ranked number 3 by ring at 130 currently
Back to 135 Arrieta- 35-15-4; a journeyman who loses against anyone who isn't a "C" level fighter
140 Casamayor- UD over a pretty much shot fighter, but he got knocked down in the final round and looked lackluster.
What in the heck has he done since being a belt holder at 126???? Other than his win over ring rated Klassen at 130, it has been so-so at best.

| Guererro's career is all over the place the last few years. 130 where he wasn't getting alot of traction. Then 135. Then 130. Then 135. Then 140. Without alot of fights each year.
All of that is understandable. His wife has been going through hell for a couple of years. But he needs to pick a division, beat a good fighter, then go for a belt. Until then, how are we to believe he is the same fighter at 135, that he was at 126!!!!!!!!!

| Nice, hopefully we see Marquez vs Katsidis or Katsidis vs Murray, both better match ups | |

| As a fan I hope they don't put Katsidis in with very good boxers. I like seeing him face guys he has a decent shot at beating, because he makes for such good fights.
I criticize Khan for not facing top guys at 140, especially punchers. But I'd like Katsidis to be managed a little carefully at 135.
Yeah, I'm being a bit hypocritical. At least I admit it.

I like that fight. The Ghost needs to get a little angry. He never makes fights uncomfortable for his opponent.

| Katsidis doesnt gain much from a win over Guerrero anyhow. If they fight, its gonna be for JMM vacant 135 WBO belt. JMM isnt gonna fight Katsidis and so wont Khan. The Ghost was going the right direct after Klassen, had the Soto fight for December of 09, but Goossen and GBPs court battle for promotional rights ruined it. Since then hes taken a bunch of bums, even with dominating, he isnt impressive. Guerrero vs Katsidis is a toss up anyways. Dangerous fight for both, but more so for Katsidis because hes in a better position than the Ghost at this stage of his career. Guerrero still has speed and power at 135 and can catch Katsidis. Katsidis is looking for a money fight while taking out all those bums from Englad lol.
Guerrero isnt a JR Welter and its the reason Casa embarrassed him in the 10th. Guerrero has slow feet, throws the jab but it has no meaning and doesnt have a real killer instict like he did at 126. He was a physical fighter there, but lost that at the higher weights because it isnt an advantage for him anymore. Guerrero like MArquez belongs at 130, problem is there is no money fight for either of them there. Guerrero should just stay at 135 for the for the rest of his career and build from there. 130 is also an option, Roman Martinez of Puero Rico has been calling him out. That would be an intresting fight.
