Richard Schaefer wants Robert Guerrero vs Michael Katsidis for Nov 4th

HBO is holding Nov. 6 for a "Boxing After Dark" card to be promoted by Golden Boy as part of its output deal with the network. Golden Boy's Schaefer said there are several possibilities for the card, but a fight he wants to make is Michael Katsidis against Robert Guerrero in a lightweight bout.

in other words keep katsidis away from marquez because we want to make kahn-marquez.
marquez-katsidis would be a better fight.

that's exactly what I've been saying. Schaefer wants to cash out JMM to put Khan over. It's so obvious it's sickening. Now Schaefer is almost trying to force it. I hope JMM sees thru it and tells Schaefer and Khan to go screw themselves. Read Schaefer's comments to the media over the last week, all designed to funnel JMM into a Khan fight.

They want Kahn-Marquez. It is a win-win for Golden Boy. Khan should win and he gets a big name that elevates his career. If Marquez wins, you have him getting the Mexican holy grail. And it is a big money fight.

I'd rather see a fight I think Marquez has a decent shot at winning (Katsidis).

Back on the subject at hand, how would this fight play out and who do you favor ?

I think Guerrero has the power to stop Katsidis but his unwillingness to stop an old Casa makes me wonder. Not to mention being dropped by a jab at the end of that fight.

the Ghost really hasn't done anything impressive in the last couple of years. Is it because of inactivity, fighting at higher weights, his wife's illness, combination??? No idea, but he hasn't impressed me. I think Katsidis takes the shots he needs to and gets to Ghost's body. Slows him down and after the body is dead, he takes the head.

I still don't see what the attraction to Guerrero is. He shies away from mixing it up.

Katsidis would pressure him all night and Guerrero will wilt.

How I'd see the fight playing out as well if it happens

kat has learnt from his losses,at least a little but still has his warrior mentality.if he can get to guerrero early enough,who cares who wins because we would see a fight )))
