The Sooners turned themselves in with Bomar. It was not an NCAA issue, but a self-regulating one. A lot of OU fans were pissed that we kicked him off without waiting for an NCAA verdict. Troy Smith was caught for the exact some thing before, and not to mention breaking a girl's jaw, and nothing happened to him or Ohio State and he was allowed to win a Heisman. It wasn't a lock that Bomar would be done, but Stoops had seen enough -- and we still got hammered a couple of years later for the incident. You're ignorant of this matter Bird.

The Ohio State game was not the most important game of the year. Not even close. The Red River Shootout and Big 12 title game are way more important for recruiting, ranking and bowl contention. The Brown punishment was a joke.

The Stoops era is one of the more ethical in modern college football. You can't talk about Texas in the same breath right now.

Well Oklahoma does win titles, and with less. Between injuries and team turmoil, Adrian did not have the kind of career that his talent dictated. If we had Bomar and Quinn his junior year then we would have had a shot. Without them we won the Big 12. And our flameout against USC his freshman year is still my greatest disappointment.

Also I googled sergio kindle hits adrian peterson. All that came up was Adrian's highlights. I suppose that's a dose of context.
