| Brock must see some similarity in himself and Fedor. They both like to remain seperated from the media/fans and they both have huge followings of people who only watch them in hopes of them losing. Brock probably gave that respect because he doesn't want disrespect if and when he loses. | |

I will never admit it but he is starting to respect the game, the fighters, now if he respects the fans whether they come to see him win or lose he has come a long way and now realized this is not the wwe but fucking MMA.

A rare Jimbo sighting. I know, i fell off for a while because i had my password saved to my comp, but had to reformat, then I forgot the email address and password to that which I registered under, so I had to start a new account. It killed me on the GOR's. I fell down to 4th I think because I havent done it in a while. Glad to be back though.

How you feel about this weekends PPV? Im looking at Lesnar, Akiyama and Sotiropolous to win. Lesnar because I am not as impressed with Carwin's standup as everyone else is. The man has great power, but as far as his actual boxing skill, that can be trained for, because he lacks a lot of technique in that realm, mostly in his footwork. Also, I think his desire to ko Brock is going to get him taken down since he will be willing to plant his feet to throw the big right hand. Akiyama is too skilled for Leben, though I have this weird feeling that Leben may win. As for Sotiroplous, I am partial to him because I used to be one of his wrestling partners before he moved west to Couture's place and then to his new camp in Washington. Though, I think he will outgrapple Pelligrino the same way he did Stevenson. He is a huge 155 lbs'er. When we used to wrestle, he would regularly weigh 185. At the time he was fighting at 170. His size on the ground will continue to play a big factor and help him win fights.

| I don't think Carwin is really looking for the KO as much as he says. To me that is just like every other pre-fight hype. When the door closes the real game plan comes in effect. He said he has been training for a War, I hear he is training with Greg Jackson so he should be ready for a ground fight. As far as George vs Kurt, I think that will be a great match. I actually picked Kurt but George is favored in the fight. | |

| Has Carwin always been with Greg Jackson and I just didn't notice or is this new? | |

| The whole UFC 100 antics was disappointing but you have to understand that the adrenaline and blood lust was flowing through his body at the time.
I would hate to be in the same room as Brock when he loses his temper, he's capable of murder with his fists alone. |

| Fedor would struggle with Brock's size and strength, he'd need to land a heavy blow before Brock could get a hold of him. |

The more time goes by, the more Brock improves his skills and Fedor ages. What is the age difference between Fedor and Brock? It's not like Brock is some young buck. 5 round fight I think eventually Fedor catches Brock in something. KO, sub or whatever.

Fedor has alot more wear and tear under his belt, he's been through some wars, Brock's only just started MMA. |

True, but compared to Fedor's long combat career he's alot more fresher. |

Neither was the Randleplex, Choi's punches, Hunts punches, Arlovski's punches and kicks, or any of the numerous blows that opened Fedors head up like a watermelon filled with tomato juice. Mileage is different in the Pro Wrestling game than the Mixed Martial Arts scene. Namely, guys are REALLY trying to hurt you in MMA. We saw Ric Flair compete two years ago in the WWE. Ricky Steamboat, Arn Anderson and a few other old timers were just competing the other night(I caught it while channel surfing). Thats why these guys are still top of the food chain stars at 40 years old(Batista and HHH) wheras 40 is a death sentence in MMA with very very few exceptions.

| Blown knees, rotator cuff injuries, concussions et al are very common in wrestling - the difference is these guys perform on anyway and seldom get the surgery and time to heal provided at the correct time. Do you know how badly damaged the brain of Chris Benoit was at autopsy? Because they're able to continue to perform does not mean they're in "fighting shape" under any circumstances. You're comparing an extinct species of apple known from fossils to a computer generated simulation of space oranges. Most of these guys couldn't pass the most basic of physicals by the time they hit 35-40 and almost none of the old guard of wrestling could ever hope to get sanctioned under a proper athletic commission.
You have no idea what kind of damage wrestlers take. The "fake fighting = less damage, real fighting = more damage" theory you have is 100% incorrect Ludo.

| Fedor's miles will come from training not fights(thats where a lot of MMA miles come in, slams in the gym ect) besides his hands which tend to break during fights. No one really knows what kind of miles Brock has but they could be very significant. I think I read he fucked up a shooting star press and really hurt himself at one point. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xnf1w_brock-lesnar-failed-shooting-star-p_sport | |
