You don't really have the right to criticise Ward's performance if you only watched 2 rounds. i agree ali. the first 2 rounds were ward's worst rounds of the fight. either way, he fought an ugly fight but still fought well and won.

| I watched two rounds and then read play by play which all said the fight was boring as fuck and shitty. It wasn't much of a leap to take | |

| Ward dominated, but it doesnt mean he looked good. i think looking good has a lot of aspects behind it and one of them is making it entertaining (holding matches are always boring). Ward did hold a lot, but also did pin Green to the point the guy just couldnt throw. Green didnt know how to get out of the ropes and just got mugged. Green also was doing a lot of hoding himself. Green didnt have the talent to ever make it competitive.
I believe both guy fought each other with too much respect. Ward was only hit flush twice by Green the whole night. Wards gameplan was not letting Green set himself in position to unload a big punch. Ward did everything he could to take Greens best aspect, his power. Green without his power is a bird without wings, it just doesnt work out well lol. Green relays way too much on his power and when Ward took that from him, he was a complete bum in the ring. The fight was boring because Ward didnt let Green get position to throw anything. Smoothering your opponent doesnt lead to Knock outs and its the reason ward wasnt able to hurt Green like he was with Kessler (he had Kessler hurt many times). Ward hmself didnt land too many fluch shots either.

| I don't believe Ward has enough power to stop the Super Middleweight elite. |
